I just made this tonight minus the sunflower seeds I couldn't find at the store, and they're amazing! I habitually pressed the water out of the cans, but you really want to leave most of the water in there, just open it up and add it straight to the bowl.

No problem, Michael! They're one of our favs. Easy and delicious.
@buffdudes12 жыл бұрын
Hey Coop! I've had that problem myself from time to time. I usually make sure I have a good mix of mayo in order to help the bread crumbs bond with the Tuna. I try and stir until any chunks are absent and it is closer to a paste. Also, setting the stove on medium-low and cooking for a good 5 or so minutes before flipping for the first time so that they have begin to cook together. Hope this helps!
@Coop77212 жыл бұрын
I'll definitely try that. Thanks for the response!

Hi Dagtdon, glad you liked them! LOVE garlic and onion and have used them both many times on the Tuna Patties! Definitely, more recipes on the way!

I just tried these today and they were INCREDIBLE! I've never cooked tuna and it's a real game changer. I may have added too much garlic so they seemed a bit too salty. A tip: slice thin some sweet potatoes add that to your burger with tomatoes and lettuce and you won't be the same. Also I'm not so sure about the 4 10oz cans. That seems like a lot. Thanks a lot for this great recipe BUFF DUDES!

Btw: using some flour instead of bread crumbs works perfectly! (You can make it gluten-free for example as well). cream cheese light version works also fine as a sub for mayo =)

Hey buff dudes, I got a recipe you all should try and see how it works for ya. Its real simple 3 Eggs 1 Can of tuna or equivalent of other fish (salmon, etc) 1/2 Cup to 2/3 Cup of oatmeal Salt Olive oil (or whatever suits your fancy for oils) beat eggs mix the tuna/fish in with the eggs. Make sure to let some of that oil get in with it for this next step Add oatmeal the oats will soak in the oils and some of the egg batter add a few dashes of salt Once all that is mixed up heat a skillet up apply an even amount of olive oil and let it heat for a moment then pour the mixture into the skillet and spread out evenly and as thinly as possible. Watch as it cooks into a big patty break it up as its cooking however you see fit (pizza slice style, smaller patties, crumble) and flip it after one side gets golden and then wait till both sides have goldener. Done! and enjoy! You can also substitute chicken (cooked). You guys are awesome and totally enjoying the guidance from ya Buff dudes!

Made this today with otas (instead of crumps) and egg whites (instead of mayo) and tasted like dreams. Thank you!
@pgg36849 жыл бұрын
Very tasty! I still managed to screw it up because I only used one can of tuna to try it out and didn't use same measurements as you. I basically used too much mayo and probably not enough bread crumbs. It wouldn't hold into patties and I burned them on the outside and the inside was still wet. It ended up still tasting really good despite the changes I made. I will put less mayo next time and more bread crumbs.
