I also wondered about that in the chicken Teriyaki video. So how do you manage with only one rice cooker like me if you want to cook white rice too. Would you rather reheat the rice or the topping after cooking them individually?
@CHEFSLABO7 ай бұрын
Yeah I would use my leftover rice and reheat it😀 These recipe series are great when you have left over rice in a fridge or freezer (which is quite common in Japan), and you don't want too much hustle on cooking like midweek dinner😉 But you can cook rice on a stove top too😌 (see my rice cooker Gyudon recipe if you are interested in how I do it) I know it sounds weird cooking rice on a stove and main dish in a rice cooker, but I just want to serve inspiration to my audience, and hoping them to find it's useful for some situations like above 😌 Hope this reply helps!!😄

If yours don’t have “keep warm” function, take it out from the cooker, and leave at room temp, and eat it before it’s cold. Also, It’s normal it has broth. It’s kind of chicken stock. It’s yummy stuff so pour on the rice too👍

How much time did it take to Cook the chicken? I dont have a rice cooker but i use an instapot
@CHEFSLABO7 ай бұрын
With the rice cooker, it took about 30-40mins, but if you use slow cooker or instant pot (which you can set up a timer), just cook 10-20 mins until chicken is done to your liking. For cooking egg, You can follow what I did in the video😉
@Naryoril7 ай бұрын
For the teriyaki chicken recipe i cooked the rice first and then wanted to cook the chicken. But my rice cooker didn't want to turn on, since the pan and other things were already hot. I had to take them out and cool them under running water before i could turn the rice cooker on for the chicken. But that won't really be an option here to cook the egg... Do you have any suggestions about this problem?
@CHEFSLABO7 ай бұрын
That case, maybe just use a large pan or pot instead of rice cooker👀 You can just boil and cook the chicken (with the sauce) until your liking. Then keep the liquid boiling, and add eggs. Leave it to cook on medium high heat until the eggs are 50-60% cooked. Then give it a stir like I did in the video. That should be it. You can see my old Oyakodon video to see how I cook the eggs on a pan. That's gonna show you exactly what I meant above. I leave a video link for you. Hope it helps!!!😉👍 kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3TLpKaljr2mq6M
