I never liked parsnips until I actually ate them. (?) you must try them, you all out there in the internets, really and truly you will be pleasantly surprised. My mother used to make them and I’d turn up my nose. Even without the agonizingly minced rosemary, they are delicious.

I love parsnips, especially roasted ones! We used to have them in our 'Roast Dinner', a leg of lamb, potatoes, carrots, parsnips, turnips, kohlrabi and whatever I've forgotten. To this day it is my number one meal and I can taste just by thinking about it.

Excellent recipe! The polenta or semolina makes the parsnip wonderfully crispy. My usual recipe has mace, sage and white pepper. I drizzle some vinegar over the roasted parsnips before serving.

I absolutely love parsnips and rutabegas and turnips. For some reason they aren't that popular here in the Midwest and so getting good ones or fresh ones are really difficult. They are usually old and fuzzy..😂 and so I don't buy them, shame cause I love them. Thank you Rik! Looks delish!!❤

Good to see the way I cut parsnips is the way you do it, too. It seemed the appropriate way to do it; still the validation is welcome. I've used them in soups/stews, pot roast, and as a medley roasted w/other root & autumn veggies (carrots, onions, sweet and white potatoes, butternut squash w/thyme and rosemary). I've never made parsnips alone as a side dish, and maybe now that will change.

Oh yummm 😍, delicious roast honey glazed roast parsnips, they’re cooked to perfection Rik.👌 I’ve seen that semolina trick with roast potatoes before, but it never occurred to me to try it on parsnips, I usually sprinkle mine with toasted sesame seeds towards the end of cooking, but will definitely try your method next time.
