They both look absolutely gorgeous on you and I don't think the first one is too short. They look awesome on you. I am hesitant to give this pattern a try as I carry a bit more weight through my middle, not a lot but enough to make me self conscious.

These came out so well! The tropical one is especially terrific, love the colours in that one. I’ve been thinking whether or not to get this pattern. I feel uncomfortable with my saggy ‘mummy tummy’ in such close fitting dresses. I need to find a good shapewear slip.

Karina, I always learn something new and wonderful watching your videos! Cutting out the hole in your pattern piece to check for fabric pattern placement on the bust is genius! I will definitely be trying that trick out. Love your dresses! They look lovely on you.

Both dresses look great on you. I think you would suit a really cropped smitten jacket, much shorter and maybe a size smaller than your green one. Love your videos. God Bless.

Beautiful makes and I love the way you styled them! And thank you for sharing the tip about positioning the pattern piece using the bust circle. I haven't tried PE patterns, but you have inspired me to give them a try. 😊

Thank you so much for doing this. I was hoping you would make this dress. My requirements are similar to yours. No cleavage, not too short, not overly fitted, and not too long. I was wondering how fitted the dress is. I want to wear them to church so I will probably not have the slit and adjust to just below the knee and cut the waist and hip just a tad bigger. Just a tad. Both dresses look fabulous on you. I just love PE's drafting. I am ordering through your link now that I know it fits fabulously. Getting the t too. Been waiting for one that is not too tight but not as loose as some of the others. Woohoo!

Lovely job. I noticed the pattern photos on the website, a lot of pull lines under the bust. Is that the fabric selection or the fact they sewed the wrong bust size? I would like to understand so I don't make the same error. I noticed your tops didn't have the issue but had a nice fit. That issue I have with negative ease. Thanks.

I wonder if the new dress pattern could also be used to turn it into the new PE tee?
@LiftingPinsandNeedles7 ай бұрын
It’s a whole different draft and fit with the tee. The tee has more ease at the waist and is not meant to be that tight. Also, the back does not have the horizontal seam. They are not the same pattern at all.

Your dresses look great. Thank you for sharing. How does The Own your magic knit dress from Pattern Emporium compare to Love Notions Tessa? Are they similar fit through the body? Trying to decide if I need both. I have Tessa and have made it a lot. Thanks so much for your thoughts.
@LiftingPinsandNeedles7 ай бұрын
The Tessa has more ease and the shaping at the back is done with a seam all down the center. They are similar. I like this one because it’s got less ease at the waist and I prefer that. As usual, the block and drafting is totally different with each designer and even though things look similar, they fit different.

If I wish to alter the neckline, how do I recalculate the length of the binding?
@LiftingPinsandNeedles7 ай бұрын
Measure at the seam line (3/4”) and calculate 93% of that :) depends on the fabric and the stretch but not less than 90%

Hello to any fans. What is the difference between the "affiliate" link and the "general" link? I want to make sure I use the right one so she gets credit for my purchase.
@LiftingPinsandNeedles7 ай бұрын
Any of the links will work :) the general one is to browse the site for any pattern. The one for the dress takes you right there specifically. I will get a commission for any link that I post. Thanks for asking.

Beautiful dresses. I think you mean "stable knits" not "staple knits"
@LiftingPinsandNeedles7 ай бұрын
No, I mean staple. As in staples in your wardrobe... the ones that get worn all the time. Stable? nope :)
@blackhannahofficial7 ай бұрын
I think, she meant what she said. Like, a "staple" wardrobe piece, at least that's how I took it. Let's not disrespect the Host please.
