I use a spice grinder to grind my sucanat so that it doesn't have the large flecks. I learned that from American's Test Kitchen Naturally Sweet cookbook.

Anyone know where the arrow went where I’d click on for recipes etc down below? All of a sudden it’s gone. I really want to make these cookies but I don’t like when she says grams. I’ve been baking for 50 years and I’ve never used grams of butter.

It is Christmas Eve. Some of our pipes froze last night. My husband had to cut into our beautiful new drywall to get to the pipes. Dust is all around and furniture has been displaced. BUT I am praying for a good attitude and making these cookies!

My go to shortbread cookies are made with spelt flour, coconut sugar and butter but I am going to give yours a try since I have a lot of einkorn flour and been trying more recipes with it!

Einkorn flour is amazing! Retired chef 28 years and it's great for baking. Like how you just use your hands. Shaye the Kamikoto knives are the best, I love them! God Bless, Mike

This isn't traditional scottish shortbread. The method is completely different, and shortbread never uses eggs. This is more like a sugar cookie.

Have you ever made this recipe from regular flour? I live offshore and Eincorn flour is not available here. To import it would be very expensive.

The recipe looks great. We absolutely love shortbread with coffee. I'll be buying some maple sugar for sure. But that's some really big lemon zest for a cookie. It looks pretty and decorative but I wouldn't want to bite into it. I think a mircoplane would work nicer but maybe the visual wouldn't be as good? I also feel like those big pieces might just fall off.

I guess einkorn is espelta in Spain. We don't find mapple sugar easily here. I may use panela sucre instead. Thanks for the recipe.Your kiddos couldn't wait. It is so nice to see how much joy you can bring with something so simple.

Espelta is spelt. I dont know, how it is are called in spanish , but the latin name for einkorn is Triticum monococcum. You can use spelt insteadt, but it tastes different.
