Randi Johnson Or you could cook the meat overnight in the oven set on 250* and it will smell delicious when you wake up in the morning! I say this bc the power companies raise the amounts they up the charge 3x thru the daytime. I've also been washing clothes and dishes in the DW after 9pm because that's when the power rates go back down to a third of what the daily rates are charged. Idk if you saw that I posted I had 3 kids but a surprise phone call from CPS where a niece and nephew needed a place to live? Wow. I was a busy Mom for about 10 years but now the kids have grown up and stolen my cookbooks! Lol! I'm now an empty nester. Christine, here's my take on the name of the crock pot or slow cooker. Perhaps we should call it a Crock Cooker, or a Slow Pot!! Lol! Seriously, I have been married for 47 years & raised 3 kids so I've gone through a lot of crock pots. One recipe my family loved was BBQ hotdogs, which is a recipe of my moms. The hot dogs get sliced in to rounds & then get sauteed in butter. Then the sauce gets made, with sauteed onion & other savory ingredients. My mom didn't like sharing her recipes, so if this went on the world wide web I would definitely get haunted the rest of my days, LOL!! BTW after the sauce is made the hot dog bites go in The sauce & summer for a couple of hours. My son's school had a non sweet party for Valentine's Day, so they asked me to make those. Once I made them, there was no going back, I had to make them every Valentine's after that! I sure could have used one of those crock pots with the clamps on each end! All Of your recipes looked great, especially the breakfast. My family loves breakfast for dinner! Great video!!

@@kristinatidwell6563 I kniw what you mean, since Covid started we have had washer, dishwasher, stove & refrigerator problems. Luckily my husband is electrical engineer so he can usually troubleshoot & fix stuff. We had to order parts for dishwasher & stove which he fixed. Washer wouldn't start after filling up w/water! And of course it was heavy towels so had to wring out best I could , they took like 3 hrs to dry. Whatever issue was, he rewired around it so but worked , then we had to order part for it. Refrigerator totally went out, it was compressor so not worth fixing so we went to local appliance store, we live in country so we try to support local, it was extra 1 we keeo in basement for overflow stuff, oj, milk, butter, bread etc so we didn't want to pay $1000 for 1 for basement but like you said not much stock. It seems some stuff like at grocery store that I couldn't find is now showing back up so hoping that is a good sign thst things getting better. We do need to replace dishwasher, washer & dryer too, all gettin old so hoping stores will have more selection. Sorry prob TMI & too long, just frustrated everything kept breakin in middle of Pandemic!

To save on your energy bills? Cook them overnight when your bills is charged at a third of the daytime rates. 9pm to 7am when i looked at the rates that were charged at my power company PEC was a co-op so i tried to cook 24# turkeys or (2) roasts or maybe even 2 chickens overnight to make sure that the kids knew they would have dinner that night when they got home from school or little league. Especially if I had to work that day? I didn't want the kids to think that I expected them to go without food. I always told them that they had lunch meat or peanut butter and jam to make sandwiches after school but they routinely ate dinner instead. So then what? I told them we couldnt have 2 dinners every night! I was already paying for (5) breakfasts and lunches at the school not counting the food they still ate at the house? They were always eating a ton of food! My niece gained 90# in 1 year i had to put a lock on the pantry, fridge and freezer to stop her getting up during the night to eat whatever she could grab... unbelievable.
