It's not perfect.. But it's just as good as any of the overly complicated solutions out there 🙂 I hope you found the video useful ❤

very nice! that extra spring arm definitely adds a layer of smoothness that makes it tolerable!

We need more Gorm!!!! I would like to see your progress with the game.

@@danielchavez9367 Yes, agree. But Gorm is on hold right now, as I’m working on a secret game.. I could make a new “state of the game” video, where I play it, whole talking about it? 🙂

Hello Good tutorial, one question, will you continue with the tutorials on How To Create Epic Procedural Dungeons In Unreal Engine 5, greetings.

@@angeltrujillo426 Thanks. Yes. I will make a part 5. I just haven’t had the time to do it yet. But it is at the top of my to-do-list

explain to me why you can't just put a sphere bounding box around the camera?
@REE-Animation5 ай бұрын
@@lexibyday9504 and then what efter that?
@lexibyday95045 ай бұрын
@@REE-Animation I'm no programmer I don't know how to do these things but if the camera was in an invisible ball that colides with the level geometry then movement around corners would be naturally smooth because balls are round. The ball follows the player like normal. When you want screen shake or something you could move the camera within the ball.
@REE-Animation5 ай бұрын
@@lexibyday9504 the camera boom already uses a ball for collision.. Either way, if you move the camera and it hits a wall it will stop instantly, giving it that rough look. Yes, the ball would roll more smoothly around corners and such, that is true

@@REE-Animation you are both right. just trigger an avoid function on the spheres collision. think of it like this : > you have the probe collision on that ensure you never clip into things > now add a larger sphere to that point where it just calculates what side to go about on "begin overlap" and eases "control rotation" or the "camera offset" towards that direction. > use a return ease function on "end overlap" > turn off ease once in place and not blocked Dont forget to set the sphere collision to block camera only cheers
@mangarookie5 ай бұрын
@@REE-Animation I've also seen people not lerp the camera directly but have a camera colliding object right behind the camera and move that smoothly to push probe collision around
