I strung my @wilsontennis blade 98S bold racket at 50lbs with @luxilontennis alu power rough 1.25

Im not getting the tension for some reason, with different strings, even with gut, Im getting a dead, pingy feel after stringing. Cant figure out what it is, i've strung racquets for years with other stringers

Appreciate the video. I'm very interested to see how accurate the measuring scale is especially at low tension below and around the 40lbs mark. Have you done any calibration of this device? Similar products have been know to be very inaccurate at low tensions. Much appreciated.

Hi the two point mounting frame is not ideal but no I have not experienced any warping with my rackets before.

One issue I have is with the starting clamps. When I pull tensions and clamp it doesn't hold the 55lb I string with. It always slides out with just one clamp, even when tightened. On the crosses, I can never seem to get the tension to hold on to the starter either with the floating clamp. Are there any tips on how to set up the clamps for the crosses and start out on the mains?

Great job. I have a Baiardo but I plan to keep this one with me to do on the run string jobs. I bet with practice I can make it pretty accurate. Just needed to find out how to start them off. Thanks!

Why you did you clamp it from outside when you started the cross? You could have made the knot?

Yes you can use a starting knot also, I always start my crosses with a starting clamp so I don’t put to much tension in the knot at the start. Iv been taught to use a starting clamp at the start and go back and tension the first and last string just before doing the knot. Just something I’m used to doing.

Thanks for the video. I see you don't use a starting clamp on the main but only the flying clamps provided in the Easy Stringer set. Is it ok to start without this tool? are we not loosing tension on the starting string (I am new to it). cheers

You can use a starting knot as other people are saying of course. I always use a starting clamp and re tension the first and last crosses at the end. So whatever you want to do is fine.

That first cross, what was the point of that. With flying clamps there is nothing to grab on to to keep tension with just 1 string?

Yeah that was weird. Clamping a single string with a flying clamp is useless. He made same mistake on the last cross. He should have tied a starting knot before pulling the crosses
