This is precisely the recipe that Mom handed down to me, and I've made it a half-dozen times (without the egg). Garlic, breadcrumbs, onions, parsley, parmesan and butter are the essentials to this gourmet mix. It astounds me that I have never located this version of stuffed mushrooms in stores or restaurants. (They think they can make it with crab meat or serve it cold? Not in my book!)

Lol, I'm not a fan of cold stuffed mushrooms and nor do I like it when they add the crab meat too. We use egg because we find it that it binds the ingredients together (like glue) but I will try without egg next time. Thank you!
