Hurrah for the cookbook! Just ordered a copy. I continue to make your 500k oil on a regular basis. It is the best for frying shrimp, fish and scallops, as well as adding to soups for flavor. I love my wok I ordered from you several years ago. It’s a workhorse.

That looks amazing. And I have everything except the Sichuan Dou Ban Jiang and stew meat; might have to get some and try it out. I've had this in restaurants but the quality of the meat has left a lot to be desired.

@@SoupedUpRecipes I had a Chinese girlfriend for a few years who didn’t cook, but since I love cooking, I learned to make some Chinese dishes for her using your recipes. That said, she always ate without elegance-slurping loudly, making a bit of a mess, and eating twice as fast as me. I’m not sure if that’s a Chinese cultural thing or just a coincidence. LOL...

That looks very good…especially during winter…speaking of noodle soups, I’m hoping you can point me to a Chinese tv series about “a bowl of noodles” the dish is a bowl of noodles topped with a gravy type sauce looks like mushrooms, wood fungus and chicken….been trying to find the title of this series as I only seen clips on KZbin…hope you can help, thanks🙏🙏🙏

Around the 7:44 timeframe she says you can use other noodles. And definitely can use choy sum, but cut the stems into smaller pieces or use baby choy sum

I especially love that you finished the video anyway after splashing some soup on your shirt! Every time I eat noodles they always splash the soup drops on my shirt! Now I always try to wear an ugly shirt when eating delicious soupy noodles! I'm so sorry your pretty green shirt got the soup splashed on it!

Fun life hack for the people in the comments, if you want to make a stock more rich without any effort, put in some unflavored gelatin. It basically fills in for the bones that usually need to create the slick, full mouthfeel.
