I am so pumped that you feel that way. I also went to an expensive school, and parts about it where great. But honestly skill wise I learned everything I know from searching for it myself. I just try to make videos that I want to watch, and feel useful. You got this it is totally doable to learn everything online if you are hungry enough 💪

Thanks so much, I am glad it is helpful. I have been using the UE modeling tools more and more instead of doing in Maya or Blender, it has been really really cool to see those developing.

I'd love an 8km x 8km sized landscape grass tutorial. I've tried MANY grass methods and they all just seem meh. Most just look like whiskers or performance killers when you start to get it looking good. Usually not enough variation or randomness?

This is really informative. I hadn't spent time with the Unreal modelling tools, but its good to know they work so well. Is the PCG stuff more performant than painting this grass as foliage?

Why is this way more efficient than adjusting parameters in surface sampler?

Great question, I just know that through testing you can get a much high frequency for with less of a processing load. I think surface sampler is just less efficient at higher point numbers. Projecting the points down seems like just a more rough approximation.

i got beautiful and high performance grass from this but im confused why the grass is glowing white when viewed from their front if it is facing the sun but it looks normal green grass when viewed against the sun im using substrate by the way
