I love it! It’s so real looking. Someone wrote in the comments, there was not enough info on the type of pastels used. I presume the sticks, weither chalk or oil. I live in Germany and things are called a bit different, I am sometimes also not sure what is used. I immediately thought oil pastels, they are called here soft pastels- so I also am unsure which are used as the sky, done with the sticks, look like chalk pastels. However, I am very sure, in your patreon , it is all listed which type of pastels you use. I am fire and flame for your patreon. I am so impressed with all your works, your talent, knowhow, tips, info etc. It’s just awesome! It’s amazing how your Patreon peoples works have advanced to very professional looking levels. They have not only improved to the max in technique, they have also managed to have caught the interest, the moment, how the animal is thinking, going through, with their expressions - fantastic- it changes everything, brings it all alive👍🏼 🧚🏼‍♀️💕

Hi there - yes I only work with soft pastels also called chalk pastels - Pencil tpes are mainy PITT and carbothello ;)

@@wildlifeartjm Good that I mentioned it then as the soft pastels here are oil pastels, not chalk 🙁. Can oil pastels be used instead of chalk pastels? Luckily our Ian pastels are the same lol, although I only have a 20‘er set - probably different colors as you, but as I watched on one of your videos about mixing colors, one doesn’t need them all, thank goodness, as they are very expensive. I will have to go looking at your pencils then as well. Thanks for clearing things for me Jason. 🧚🏼‍♀️💕

light blue - it does certainly look more grey than blue though - I dont know why they named it light blue.

Well they already had light gray so I guess they had to make a judgement call 😆 Lots of people use Pastelmat for colored pencil including me, but hopefully soon I can join your patreon group and get started on pastels. It would be a lot easier if you would include what kind of pastels you're using, as in, oil or chalk? Also, are the pencils pastels? not enough info for this video to be of any use to me and doesn't compel me to pay for it.

if you looked at ANY of my other videos or channel you would see its soft pastel - chalk pastel NOT oil pastel. same with the pencils. Sorry you didnt find this completely free video good enough.

You also have to actually listen to the video. He does indeed say CarbOthello pastel pencil and “Pitt” pastel pencil.And with a little deductive reasoning, it’s easy to figure out that soft (chalk) pastels don’t really work over oil pastels. Also, another trick is to watch the pencil or stick and as he rotates it or changes position, you can sometimes see the name on it.
