It had been about 40 years since I’d crocheted, but broke my ankle and was laid up for months. Someone gave me a crocheted dishcloth as a gift and I liked it so much I order yarn and hooks and began watching KZbin instructions. Since then I’ve made many dishcloths, scrubbier, etc., as I wanted to try many types to see which I like best. Your channel is very good. Good camera work, clear instructions without a lot of extraneous rhetoric. Thank your very much. This is the third one of this pattern I’ve made because after making and using about twenty different patterns, this is becoming one of my favorites.

Your channel is so great. Thank you. After not crocheting for about 40 years, I had an injury that kept me in a chair for months. So I bought some hooks and yarn and began to make all kinds of dishcloths and hot pads for my family and friends. I have tried many patterns in order to zero in on the ones we all like the best. Those that are not as closely woven are not very popular with us, but this pattern is one of our favorites. It keeps it shape better, is very functional, so I’ve made several. The border is different too, so adds some interest to a mere dishcloth. Again, I thank you for your channel which has clear instructions and good camera work.

Hey there Bonnie! I'm like a lot of us trying to stay home as much as possible during this pandemic. Was searching for a pattern to make dish cloths to use up my cotton stash to put away for Christmas as several of my family members love cotton kitchen items. This is the pattern I have decided to use. Thank you! Stay well!

@@BonnieBayCrochet My mom has been making these for many, many years, however she knits hers. I have been crocheting them them since I took up crochet and knitting, about the last ten years or so . They make a nice gift for many different occasions and people always love getting them. My problem with them is that they don't last me for years at all, sometimes only through a few washes, because they get cut from knives that are washed and then unravel. It's frustrating and I wonder how it is that you go about avoiding that? That issue makes me not want to make them to give as gifts any more, when I think that they'll just end up a mess of string in a few months after I've put the effort into making them.
@BonnieBayCrochet5 жыл бұрын
@@KatarinaS. I've never had that happen. I usually wash knives with the blade away from me or in the dishwasher.

I think you make this look so easy and effortless. OH HOW I WISH my stitches look as perfect as yours..I believe it's my tension. It would be really great if you would do a tutorial/video on TENSION specifically. Showing different stitches, yarn types, weights, etc that may effect how our stitch uniformity /definition are affected. THANK YOU for the great videos for Beginners/intermediate or a beginning intermediate crocheter. You are very detailed and I have learned alot from your videos. More blankets with stitches that are a good bridge from Beginner to intermediate would be awesome as well!! Thanks again for this great video. Also the difference between the amount of yarn needed for various stitches for same size blankets/afgan projects.
@BonnieBayCrochet5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestions Stacy! As far as tension goes, I believe it is all connected to the hand hold. I do have an older video on this here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZmacqp_e6mkhMk

Great dish cloth!! I love making those post stitches. I was wondering how much yarn it uses? The whole skein of Peaches 'n Cream"?
@BonnieBayCrochet6 жыл бұрын
I was working with a partial ball of Peaches 'n Cream yarn from another project and pretty much used all of it. I estimate that you can get 1 1/2 dish clothes from one small ball. As you know, these post stitches like a lot of yarn!

I’m having a terrible time - if you chain 30 and start 3 stitches from hook - I end up with 27 stitches not 28 - what am I missing 🤔
@BonnieBayCrochet4 жыл бұрын
I actually started in the 3rd chain from the hook (in other words, I didn't use 2 of the chains), giving me 28 double crochets. You can easily make this with 27 stitches, but you will end with a front post double crochet instead of a back post double crochet. Hope this is helpful Janice!
