Mr. H and Friends hosted family for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Their video drops on Wed for that so you can see another British couple do it up right. They dropped a video making green bean casserole for the first time on Sunday if you're interested to see it done.

What tickled me the most was the families reaction to the sweet potato casserole!! So many Brits see it and think "disgusting", but once they try it.....they seem to love it as much as we do! There is another channel of 3 brothers, "Raygo Bloom" that I have started watching. They did a first Thanksgiving dinner also and they really liked most of the dinner. They hated the deviled eggs, which I don't understand, but they really did a nice job on the traditional dinner.

@@daricetaylor737 I saw that one. The one's wife did all the cooking and did a fabulous job but I'm totally with them on the deviled eggs. That's too much yolk going on. I can't stand sunny side up or over easy eggs for that reason. Scrambled is my way or the highway option, lol.

This thanksgiving dinner looks good. Very simple though. We spend a whole day prepping the food and then a second day actually cooking the food on the day of Thanksgiving. Everything must be fresh. I don't think British people are too keen on eating leftovers the way we are. My sister in law lives in Wales and their refrigerator is 1/4 the size of ours and she really has no room for the amount of leftovers that most American families would have. We usually cook a huge turkey, ham and at Christmas a $200 rib roast. And at least 2 different types of pies and cakes. We eat leftovers for a week or more. I love have a house full of guest at Thanksgiving (and Christmas) and letting them take all of the food home with them when they leave. Kai and Alice, I am willing to bet that you would get dozens of invitations from your American subscribers, to share Thanksgiving with them in their home. I certainly would love to have you if you happen to be in the Seattle area on Thursday. lol... ♥ gobble, gobble!! 🦃🦃

It's just me and my Husband, but I always make at least a 20lb turkey. this year i got a 22 pounder. it's on sale because of thanksgiving so it's 80 cents a pound, which is a steal. The leftover turkey will go into all sorts of meals, sandwiches, soups, enchiladas, tacos etc. so it's a great opportunity to knock down the cost of meals for the next week or 2. and if you shread the meat and pop it in the freezer, it lasts a bit longer and is quick to thaw and add for any sort of meal. (Always, always, always brine the turkey, no dry turkey allowed) Orange and cranberries go together like cinnamon and apples. it makes it so much better. I also add some orange zest, ground clove and cinnamon to my cranberry sauce.

We pronounce pasta that way because it is the correct Italian pronunciation. Americans are taught to use the correct pronunciation in the native language of the word. That's why the FILET is pronounced FI LAY in American English. Remember FILET is a French word. Thus the French pronunciation is used.

Cowboy Kent makes some good and entertaining videos. I know a lot of British people on KZbin that are starting to watch Cowboy Kent, because they want to learn how to cook American dishes like corn dogs, Philly cheesesteaks, cowboy big macs, steak fingers, biscuits and gravy and the list goes on from there. Jolly just had their first Thanksgiving meal in the UK, made by an American. These brothers that I watch from Raygo Bloom Mukbangs just made their first Thanksgiving meal and they live in the UK.

I have used this lady's slow cooker recipes in the past and they have been very good. This is just me but I would just buy some good yeast rolls and use my own precious energy to make sweet potato casserole and maybe a corn dish, lol. But that's just me! Great reaction!

Simple but all there. Looks fantastic. You can go crazy on the sides, but this is the basic minimum. I would be completely happy with this as my Thanksgiving dinner. Of course this Thanksgiving I'll be dining with friends who go all out and I made a huge pot (3 quarts!) of cranberry sauce with black cherries, pomegranates and lemon marmalade. My friends already know I'm bringing it so no one else needs to make the cranberries. I'll freeze some of it and give it separately as a house gift so they can have it next week, and I'll freeze some for myself, too.

Colby-Jack cheese is a mixture of Colby cheese and Monterey Jack cheese. You really should consider trying a full turkey rather than parts. The bones add so much flavor and I think it helps to keep the turkey from drying out so much. We always vacuum pack the extra turkey and freeze it for later dinners. Then I boil down the scraps and bones to make turkey and dumplings, which always seems to please my family more than the original turkey did on Thanksgiving day!

Colby Jack is just a blend of Colby cheese with Monterrey Jack about half way thru ripening. I'm not sure the use in Mac & Cheese but follow her directions. I would make a suggestion you make 3, 4, or 5 items from Thanksgiving. Making a full-spread Thanksgiving isn't hard. Many are simple in fact. But the prep will wear you out for 8 or 9 dishes.

My family serves all the dishes you see here, but also includes: sauerkraut, corn pudding, kielbasa w/ beets & horseradish sauce, peas and lima beans. Of course we have pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie and apple pie for dessert. And for Christmas, we do everything the same, but add a nice ham, as well. Luck with your cooking. Always enjoy your posts, btw.

Good evening y'all. I hope you're well. My family doesn't care for turkey so we grill steaks. That's not exactly traditional but a lot of people also prepare ham if they don't care for turkey. One thing she didn't make that I think is required for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner is green bean casserole. It's very simple to make. Just a couple of cans of French cut green beans. You can use any green beans fresh really doesn't matter on the cut that traditionally they are French cut or shoestring cut green beans. Can of cream of mushroom soup. Baked with crispy French onions on top. Super duper easy. Pecan, or pumpkin pie for dessert.❤

Mashed potatoes, are sometimes referred to as whipped potatoes, because of using a mixer. Same end result, just slightly different texture.
