Good Video, thanks for all the good advice! Never thought about the extra distance. I will try that on my upcoming Marathon in May.

I get the whole barefoot thing, but I think for running, wearing some tall, cushy shoes is not the worst thing. Sure we didn't evolve wearing modern shoes, but we also didn't evolve running marathons on tarmac. So props to you for running 4:01 in barefoot shoes. I think my feet are relatively healthy and strong for a regular shoe wearer, but I know my feet would be in agony past 10km without some foam underneath my feet. I'll be keeping some of this advice in mind. I'm running my first marathon in Belfast next May, hoping to sub-4. My half-marathon is at ~2:05 right now, so with a full training block, a hope and a dream, I hope I can get sub-4 for the full thing.

Thanks for the tips and way to improve! In a week, I'll be running my 4th marathon. It's a small one, called Runs With Scissors, in Colorado, and is a loop race. (20 x 1.31mi)

Great info. Right to the point. I agree with a lot of that. I’ve only run The Los Angeles Marathon several times. And yes each time I’m more prepared and I do better. Only negative is now the course has changed and not as fun. I’d like to do a European Marathon. Maybe next year. Cheers.

Thanks Rob and well done. I am doing Amsterdam in October my first one and want to do sub 4. I wanted to ask how far before the marathon did you build your training plan? Did you stick to every session and any tips on what was most effective with training or any cross-training?

Nice, good luck for that! For London I started about six months out but was building from not running more than a few miles. Manchester I had a few injury issues so only got 2-3 months of training really. I stuck to every session as much as possible but definitely missed a few for various reasons. Would recommend a small amount of regular stretching - even just 10 minutes a day - something I should have done more of!

Congratulations Rob. I wanted to ask you about your golf lessons with Liam? I’m looking into joining his online golf school. I’ve watched your lessons with him. I love the drills and want to see if he can help lol. How do you like his lessons?

Cheers mate. Well it’s definitely helping me - swing is gradually feeling better and last few rounds have been the best I’ve played in quite a while! 👍

Tha ks for the video! so you are saying you switched from barefoot shooes to the vaporfly without hurting any part of your legs or did you start training in them too?

Hey Rob, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and repurpose your long videos into highly engaging shorts? I can also make high CTR thumbnails for your channel

Okay, You're probably not going to listen to this but, you do not have to lose your hair. I saw your video on losing your hair. Topical rogaine or minoxidil does not work for everyone as you have seen. There is some science behind it that you can look up online. You have two options with this. You can increase the potency of the topical and go to like 15% minoxidil instead of 5%. But The easiest thing to do would be to go to 2.5 mg of oral minoxidil and I guarantee you that you will see results. Second thing you must do immediately to reduce DHT levels and pretty much permanently stop The rest of your hair from going is taking 1 mg of finasteride. I suggest oral finasteride or dutasteride but you can also do topical. Both would be fine but I would suggest .5 mg of dutateride which is more powerful at blocking DHT then 1 mg of finasteride and will always get more results. If you go with finasteride probably do 1.25 mg oral.. Just make an appointment with a hair restoration surgeon or a dermatologist that you know will prescribe these medications and they'll set you straight. Give this one year and thank me later.. But remember, The oral versions will always be more efficacious and sometimes have small side effects but usually they are very small if at all.
