I am watching this 2 days before doing GM 10k. I am not an elite runner I am 50 years old ,who was dreading the run on sunday. Watching you made my cry,loved the montage of you and your down days. Well done Phily, this made me so emotional! I'd been following your 5k splits throughout the race, but it was only at the finish when I saw someone else mention it on Instagram that I realised you'd finished 3rd! I really hope that being the 2nd fastest GB runner this years counts for something when it comes to World Championship selection etc. I was thrilled to set a new 5K PB of 17:50 last week at parkrun, I can't believe you averaged slightly faster than that for a whole marathon. It really puts into perspective how incredible you are!

I’m a marathoner myself, couldn’t help to feel related when the vlog shows the ups and downs, disappointments in precious races, the lain, doubts…and then one day you have the race of your life yet. These days count for many many others and give us the reason to keep running and get our goals. I was waiting for this video after Sunday, and Philly along with being a professional long distance runner to look up to, you’re a great content creator and entertainer. Enjoy the moment!

Have a son who has had his ups and downs with elite soccer since 10 and about to head off to D1 as a top recruit.
