Well done Phily, this made me so emotional! I'd been following your 5k splits throughout the race, but it was only at the finish when I saw someone else mention it on Instagram that I realised you'd finished 3rd! I really hope that being the 2nd fastest GB runner this years counts for something when it comes to World Championship selection etc. I was thrilled to set a new 5K PB of 17:50 last week at parkrun, I can't believe you averaged slightly faster than that for a whole marathon. It really puts into perspective how incredible you are!
