You don't really need the foil or the superglue. Just use PVA with paper, and shape it while wet. It will dry hard pretty quickly, with all the bends that you put in it.

I find paper doesn’t hold together as well but you can do it that way if it’s what you want obviously

I saw a video using Japanese or Chinese calligraphy paper, could you combine the two methods and print on these?

I've done it. It works. Just use a thicker piece of paper. Thin paper will curl up when the water from the transfer hits it.

Instead of foil , i use old washed out tomato puree Tubes, just a fyi there ,

@@BootsontheTable There used to be lots of "Tubes" but most made of plastic now, tomato puree needs the metal tubes , so there will always be banner material ,been using this method since 1978, just wish i had a colour printer for the hundreds i has made , but there again my free hand is better than it would have been , Thank you for the upload ,
