Great work even though their were a few mistakes. Thats what makes this video awesome. No one is perfect. Piping with a hand made piping bag is not easy. It gave me great pointers for design.

Usually I don't even comment, but this really got to me. I think that if this is a video to show it is possible to do it under 5 minutes, it's okay-ish... But if someone actually payed for that cake, it's so disrespectful to the customer! He probably payed tons for that cake, and it looks rushed, sloppy, not even the pipping came out in a nice even line. It looks like a pen that ran out of ink.

This is a beautiful cake, yes. Especially since it was done in 5 minutes. It is not the most spectacular cake out there by far, but I myself wouldn't have been able to do that kind of design. With a little more time, I'm more then positive it could be a very elegant cake. Myself personally, I don't think cakes should be rushed, I find when I bake them, I take my time. Rushing through a cake can leave out certain details, or "pops" that make the cake fabulous.

I think it is a very pretty cake, and I would not likely be able to make something as nice with my own level of skill. On closer examination, it does look rushed in some places, particularly some little bits on the top tier. I would probably not be satisfied if my goal were a professionally-decorated cake. However, I love the concept, and the end result does still look nice. With a longer time allotted for the piping, I think it'd be beautiful!

Emily Folkins This cake didn't take 5 mins to make. The black piping and the placement of the roses took 5 minutes. And those elements took only 5 minutes because an expert was doing it. There's still the assembly and selection of ingredients, the preparation of the batter, the baking of the cakes, the first icing, the creation of the fondant, the rolling of the fondant, the attaching of the fondant, the trimming of the fondant, the attaching of wire to to the rose, etc...etc...As a pro-cake decorator, I assure you that there is NO cake that takes 5 minutes to make. It is VERY time consuming edible artistry.

Guys have you ever heard of something called art? Messy is a form of art, and the colour choices of black white and red are fabulous and it is art, it also adds to the texture, and you cannot do perfect piping unless you are robot

0MissNemo0 Floral wire is okay for support for non edible decorations. Be careful not to stick the wiring into your cake directly. They are not food safe. If they require to be stuck into the cake either use flower spikes or plastic straw to hold, or cover the wire with white cloth tape so the wire doesn't touch the cake, cut through the cake, or touch any parts that are to be consumed. Another reason: I once read that a wire became detached from the flower when cutting the cake. The wire was hidden in the slice. It was served to the guest but luckily the guest saw the wire before putting it in her mouth. That would have been horrible if she chewed it! And wire can also contain lead!

I haven't dominated the piping curls free hand so what I would so is I would look for a pattern in paper put it on the cake and with something pointy like a pencil or some of the fondant shaping tools make a very slight mark on the fondant following the pattern. That way all I have to do next is follow the lines and ensures a more precise job. IMHO

Scrollwork done well is always beautiful, but I wouldn't say it's easy for everyone. I can't imagine it would take me five minutes…more like 45" to an hour (still not bad though). It's particularly difficult when working with black, since a mistake you try to remove can leave a black stain on the fondant. Ask me how I know (LOL). Thanks for the video though, I enjoyed watching.
