Love monochromatic pictures. Lots of mood in them. This one is quite dramatic. Great job, Bram!

HappyTreesArtbyBram yeah it seems to help me a lot and not get overwhelmed,, I went yesterday and got 4 canvases, 3 from United artist, and one from hobby lobby,, hobby lobby was cheaper and more selection believe it or not

The angle of the camera is better, less glare. One colour! Amazing. It will mean less wasted paint, because I don't paint alot and sometimes even with plastic wrap over my palette the paint dries out a bit and I have to add thinner to use it again. How do you keep paint fresh once its out of the tube??? This is a great painting to try trees out. I haven't really gotten around to doing any yet, only the bushy kind. Great painting.

Bram-One other question? It looks as tho you didn’t use any liquid clear or Liquid White to prep the canvas? Did you use the Titanium white and VanD brown only? Thanks so much for this tonality piece and very valuable lesson!!
@paintwithbram3 жыл бұрын
No, I used liquid white.

Bram, I got a notification that you posted the easel video, but I can't find it. Did you take it down?
@paintwithbram4 жыл бұрын
I did. Didn't like it so I deleted it. I am going to try and get one tonight. Might even go live.

@@paintwithbram ... thanks, guy. Thought I had missed it. I really appreciate it. Want to avoid spending $200+ on a Ross easel if I can. 😊👍

Is the base liquid clear or white?
@paintwithbram4 жыл бұрын
I used liquid white for this one but either would work

@@paintwithbram Thank you Bram, keep up the excellent work! I'm new to the wet on wet technique (actually I'm new to art, at nearly 50 years old!) But I've painted about 10 pictures now, mostly with very poor success rate, but I'll keep going as I'm enjoying it no end!!

Thanks Stephen! I asked the same question before searching the replies! Cool painting!
