Great video!! With this well-explained instructions, it was not that complicated to upgrade my K-27 #455 (B310131-S). The Tsunami2's a huge difference in sound and offers a lot of new functions compared to the factory-installed decoder!! Thanks again for sharing!!

Great video! I'm going to give this a try. Question, why don't you need the wires going to the optical detector on the wheels? Is this feature no longer needed?

Do you mean the cam? If so, no the cam is no longer needed. Tsunami2 decoders watch the rotation of the motor and do not need a cam any more. We have a few video on this subject: kzbin.info?search_query=Soundtraxx+cam

Yes, for a backup light equipped model, add a 1k resistor to the yellow backup light output wire.

What brand of flux are you using ? A good place to buy it ?

We use Alpha OM-338 electronics grade flux here. It can be purchased from most electronics suppliers as well as from Amazon.

Should have upgraded that speaker while you were in there. It's the weak link now.
