I've been playing and singing this one for a couple of years, but still, your tutorial freshens it for me. Thanks for keeping it fun!

Thanks for this - I'll keep practising and I like the way you break things down when you teach.

Rock on! Glad to hear you are getting it. Singing is a skill, just like playing the ukulele. I have improved my singing over the years by listening to good teacher. Try Madeline Harvey on KZbin.

What kind of strings do you use? Do you a fluorocarbon or a nylgut type of string? Just curious what your preference is?

For the past 3 years I have used Aquila Reds. They are easy on my fingers and have a bright, crisp sound. They probably wear out faster than other strings. I frequently play with the Low G Version - amzn.to/4e4wwdK

Is the strum you used here what you refer to as the Cowboy strum? Is that also a Swing strum?
@TheUkuleleFool Жыл бұрын
I had to look that up, but I did find some folks calling a D DU strum a swing strum. I would say that the Cowboy Strum is more like what Stu Fuchs and others call the Bum Ditty strum. When I play the first down of the Cowboy strum, I am only catching the top two strings. More like a Bounce DU and then the DU aren't even. The D is longer than the up. I'll see if I can do a short video on that strum. Stay tuned.
