How dose that max AC button work on the new Raido you put in the old one has its own button for max AC. But the new android one you put in dose not have a Max AC button so how dose it work?
@PracticalMechanic2 жыл бұрын
Hi, the max ac button on the original radio did 3 things: set fan speed to max, set temp to min, and turned on the recirculation. On the new radio, you have to set each of these individually to get the same thing, ie press the ac button (if not already on), press the recirculation button, rotate the temp knob to minimum, press the fan up button to max.

Practical mechanic AND practical instructor. This is incredibly well edited and concise. In less than ten seconds you're on step one. Most importantly everything is well lit, wide field of view and narration is clearly articulated at a steady pace. This is how every instructional video should be, so many people get this wrong because they are self indulgent about being on camera. I do appreciate you've shown respect for the viewers time by keeping this under five minutes, it was as long as it should be. If I ever make instructional videos in the future, I'll be using this as a reference. Thanks.

what about the steering wheel controls. Do they all still work with the android? for example Voice commands, different functions. Changing radio gps usb and bluetooth? or are all the controls on the steeringwheel no longer useable?
@PracticalMechanic2 жыл бұрын
Hi @StevenDaniels, the Android radio has a function (called SW Learning) in the settings to learn and map the steering wheel buttons. You press the steering wheel button, then select which function you would like that to be. My Accord does not have steering wheel buttons (other than cruise), so I cannot use this feature, unfortunately, so I cannot tell you how well it works from personal experience, but I have heard of other people using it successfully. I don't know about voice commands... By the way, it sounds like your Accord might already has navigation. If that is the case, this radio will still work for you, however it does not fit perfectly in the opening, so you will have a small gap at the top. Just want to make you aware of that in case you have an Accord with factory navigation. All the best!

How is the dual climate control working so far? My car is like yours with mono controls to begin with. Does it work as intended or is there an issue?

Lol... Just seeing this video 2 years later. 😂. Anyway thanks for the detailed instructions on how to install. So, I have had it installed on my Honda Accord 2004 for over 3 years now. However , recently, it started misbehaving by rebooting repeatedly and continuously. Could you suggest any help?

Thanks for the great instructional video. Do you know if there’s an Apple CarPlay version of this radio?
@PracticalMechanic2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for the feedback! To install Apple CarPlay, you need to connect this radio to a separate dongle, such as this one: amzn.to/3CpcRn4
@PracticalMechanic2 жыл бұрын
@ERM2K8 UPDATE: The latest version of the radio includes CarPlay without the need for a separate dongle. Check out the description for a link.

Not sure. One thing to try checking is the AC relay, in case it got blown during the install. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmfQgHuufdx6n7M Sometimes that can happen if the battery is not disconnected prior to installation.

So I notice 1 thing. The current OEM unit in thr Accord is not a dual zone. The new Android unit is a dual zone. From what I have researched. Some units will not work withthe AC. You will need to check the Honda Accord forums to see if you can change some options on the unit.

Hi Reza, You're right. I bought my radio before the change, so it worked for a single zone. The good news is that the current version of this radio works with both single and dual zone: amzn.to/3RSLkSv If you have a single zone climate control vehicle, and the AC is not working, contact: support@ezonetronics.com And they will send you an updated board to make it work!

wow, my radio went on my 2004 honda accord about 5 years ago, only the clock works.... i ended up taking it to best buy to get a new radio, only they left the existing radio and installed the new radio below the old one...

Yes, that is another option.

I noticed this car only has single A/C control, but the stereo you installed has dual controls. In the description on amazon it says it will only work for dual control. Am I missing something here or will it work for both?
@PracticalMechanic2 жыл бұрын
It will work for both. If you have single climate control like mine, then you attach the y-connector cable that comes with the kit. If you have dual climate control in your vehicle, then you don't need to bother with connecting the y-connector. The instructions that come with the radio have a little picture diagram that explains when you should or shouldn't use the y-connector and how. Good luck!

Hi I have Honda Accord LX 2004, single climate control unit. I have tried two units, one from awesafe which gave no sound, second one from Junsun in which fan/ac worked for a day and then it wouldn't work (radio worked). Is it my luck or these units are hit or a miss, or do you recommend any.

How can I put this android 10 tablet on sleep mode. It’s draining my car batteries please help. I have this same model and I can’t find the sleep setting.
@bryanthornburg86362 жыл бұрын
I would 100% put one of these in my car IF it had a fan speed dial and a temp dial instead of two dials. I love the ease of not having to look for a button to adjust fan speed while driving. plus these radios that they just change to face on to fit other cars tend to be low power output for the speakers lol.

I know this video is old but I recently bought a radio like this to change on my Honda accord 2004 but my old radio had 3 plugs instead of 2 like yours and I’ve connected each plug correctly but can’t get ac to work but the heat works any suggestions or help you might have?
@PracticalMechanic Жыл бұрын
Hi @Osca, there is a "Y-cable" included in the kit. If you have dual-climate control (can set different temp for driver and passenger) then you should NOT use the Y-cable! If you have single climate control like my car, then you SHOULD use the y-cable. Try checking if that could be the issue. Good luck 👍!

@Fhita1962 Жыл бұрын
When I see these on ebay, there is a disclaimer that they won't work with digital amplified systems. Did all models (accords) have these systems, and how could you tell. If so, can you bypass?

Hello, this is a silly question but I have a Honda accord 2005 model and I was wondering if this would work for my car as well. The layout looks exactly the same as yours but has some slight differences. Another question I have was how are you travelling with the device now, does it keep its quality up?
@PracticalMechanic Жыл бұрын
It should work for 2003-2007 Honda Accords. Diesel cars, and cars with original navigation systems, it won't fit. Mine is still working great! Good luck!

How you doing. I purchased this unit for my daughters vehichle. Its all plug and play. Well the unit does not turn on, fuses are good. Do u think maybe the unit is bad. Its brandnew. The only thing i can think is wrong. Have an idea? Thanks if you have any input.
@PracticalMechanic2 жыл бұрын
I suppose it's possible. I would suggest checking all the connectors for a bent pin that is not making a connection. Unplug each connector and check that it is not inverted and that none of the pins are bent or mangled. Did the previous radio at least turn on? If so, and not a connection issue, I would contact the manufacturer, they will send you a new one if that is the problem. Good luck!
@drewski11092 жыл бұрын
@@PracticalMechanic yes thats my next thing to do, im done for the day got too cold outside, so tomorrow im gonna plug back in the original radio to see if it turns on. then most likely its a bad radio. but i will check each connector tomorrow and see if any pins are bent, thanks for that tip. appreciate it. i bet money that its a bad unit. Im pretty good at installation. Have a good night.

Sounds like a plan and exactly what I would do, too. If the radio ends up being bad, and if it's the one from ezonetronics, you can contact them at: support@ezonetronics.com
