Easy upgrade to the Discovery 2 with heavy duty steering arms and damper from Terrafirma

We're helping to beef up a Discovery 2 by fitting heavy duty steering arms and steering damper. It's an easy job once you've losened up all the crusty nuts and bolts!

Next time please take the ball joints all the way out and put plenty of anti seize on because the next guy doing an alignment will thank you!

It's always worth removing balljoints completely to verify how long the thread is. Shouldn't be a problem when using quality parts but you don't want to risk ending up in a situation where, after adjustment, the balljoint is only screwed into the track rod by a couple of threads.

So what does the HD steering tod do for one? Do the std ones break, bend ??

Yes they are more robust in case you catch them on high ground off roading. But a steering guard would also protect exisiting rods.

A dead blow hammer too soft you need a real hammer or use an air hammer with a ball joint fork
