I did this myself on my Santa Fe a few months ago. The engine filter, like yours, was much trickier than the cabin filter. I must admit I had scraped knuckles from trying to get it properly repositioned. Yet felt good for persevering. Thank you for encouraging us to what we can for ourselves. I love your videos. Great job Adelina! I was just going to suggest that next time you are at Canadian tire or anywhere they carry tools and such, to pickup up one of those magnetic bowls so if you do need to take the screws out all of the way, you will have a safe place to put them. As always, you are on top of things. Funny story - my car came to me after having been stored in a barn for some time. The previous owner was in a nursing home. Anyway, the first time I changed the cabin filter, we found a mouse nest in it! How about that?! LOL

Good job installing filters. Please vacuum debris, pine straw and leaves from under your hood. Little critters and big critters are looking for a place to live for winter. After vacuum I spray a little essential oil (peppermint or cinnamon) they don't like those scents. Ounce of prevention. Mice got into my a/c fan motor and made a mess. That was expensive. Take care. I dropped a screw in my Pro...luckliy had a magnet wand. So i moved it around in the engine bay and the wand found the screw. Heart Stopping!

A: There you go again, reminding us that we can do much more than we think we can. I have a new engine air filter that has been renting space on the back edge of my kitchen counter much that I care to admit. I read the manual (months ago) and determined there wasn't anything particularly hard about the change out. Why jump on that simple project when I can procrastinate until I view today's ideo? Shame shame shame on me. Will change out accordingly. Continue to have a great day. I intend to do the same.
