One of the things I love about your videos is the "in between" tips you give before and after a recipe. With other videos, I usually skip to the recipes, because of all the talking and fluff, but with yours, I enjoy the whole content. Long time subscriber over here, thank you for all your wonderful content!

I would use hot pepper jelly on top of the cream cheese. A block of Philadelphia Cream cheese with hot pepper jelly was the only thing that was put out as an appetizer on Christmas as I was growing up.

Same! That’s so good 🤗 I actually mentioned that in the blog post because it’s such a fun alternative to the apricot! Fig jam is good too..and cherry. You really can’t go wrong with any jam combo here ☺️ And it’s so cool that this was a favorite of yours growing up! Sweet and spicy is always a delicious combo. Anyway, Happy holidays Patty! ❤️❤️🎄🎄

I am always looking to learn new ways/recipes to add to our holida and everyday meals. This is a great recipe. I make cooking videos too. I’m always looking for new ideas and this one is a keeper! Tonight my contribution to the party potluck will be vegan cream cheese with a cherry jalapeno jam! Topped with dried cherries and finely diced jalapenos...hope my turns out as delish as yours looks!

I love the combo of fruit with cream cheese! My Grandma had the same breakfast almost every single day and it was toast with cream cheese and strawberry jam so this combo always reminds me of her in the best way ☺️☺️ Good idea to chop up the fruit! I think that would look pretty! Hope you enjoy ☺️☺️

I wanted to make a cheese and crackers with fig jam for thanksgiving but something about the vegan cheese was not good with the jam. I'll need to try the cream cheese. I'm definitely putting the puff pastry one on my holiday list!

Cream cheese is a bit more mild so I find it works well with jam! Some brands are more tang than others but a mild creamy vegan cheese would work well ❤️❤️

Just curious why you use nonstick pans esp for that mushroom recipe - could have had nice fond to deglaze with the wine. Love your videos 💚💚

Good question! I usually use my stainless steel skillet for mushrooms but this was clean and easy to access at the time lol I still gets a little bit of the caramelized bits on the bottom but it's just easier to scrape off with the nonstick. You're right though, a cast iron or stainless steel is ideal though for this kind of cooking. Anyway, hope you enjoy this recipe if you make them at home 😊😊

When you say the “unsulfered“ apricots, does that mean they do not have preservatives?

Yep, the sulphur is mainly a preservative. I like both kinds. I find that the unsulphered kind are a little sweeter...more honey-like...and the sulfured are a bit more tart 😊

Hi Nikki, I don't know if you'll ever see this comment but I just wanted to say a huge thank you for this video. I'm going to make it for my friend's Boxing Day brunch this Sunday and I just practiced making it at home by myself. For 3+ years, I have been holding this narrative in my heart that "I am a bad cook". I believed this about myself because I tried making lunch for my ex boyfriend and he hated it, he threw it in the trash right in front of me. I was made to feel so much shame about myself, that experience traumatized me and I've never had the confidence to cook for people ever since. So I was SO nervous to even practice this dish, I memorized it and watched this video almost every day this week just to mentally prepare for making the recipe. I visited your webpage dozens of times just to reread the instructions over and over again. WELL, I just made it and it was DELICIOUS. I am SO proud of myself and I CANNOT WAIT to cook for my friends this Sunday. You have restored my faith in myself and made me begin my healing journey to fall back in love with cooking. I know this might sound overdramatic but its true. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
