I have been looking for a sunflower to paint. A friend is slowly loosing her eye sight. I wanted something bright and large her birthday is coming up soon. I am a novice watercolorist so I hope this will turn out. My favorite color is Indian yellow. So glad it is a part of the colors used. I am going to try painting it today. I just joined and I am so excited. I have been watching your videos for a few months now and love your work. I have tried watercolor before and haven’t been very successful at it, because I am use to acrylics and tighten up with watercolor. I love the way you explained every detail that you are doing. Looking forward to finally being able to paint with watercolors.

It's a common problem tightening up with watercolour, many are afraid of making mistakes, which aren't often easy to rectify, unlike with acrylics. So glad you like style of teaching! Thank you for your question, really pleased that you like the way I teach. It is very tricky to rectify a cauliflower in your painting without removing the paint underneath. I usually advise students to leave it, and be proud of it, it’s one of those characteristics of watercolours… Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. Happy painting :-)

Thank you Barbara. I did not make the brush, but you could cut down a hog hair brush. The brush I am using is called Wooley's Wonderbrush :)

Thanks for your questions Cherilyn. I launched the Patreon membership for members who could not watch the membership videos on their ipads/tablets. The youtube membership has the same videos as Patreon. Patreon is also ad free and has downloadable documents. Hope this is helpful :)

If you have trouble with that, and you’re watching on your iPad, try searching for my channel in Google or Safari on your iPad and then going through the same process above. If that doesn’t work, some members deleted the KZbin app from their iPad and had no problem watching their videos in Safari / Google. You can also watch the videos on your PC.
