However oroshi kirin is proving to be TERRIBLE to farm, but with this method I caught one VERY FAST so i had to share this easy way to get oroshi kirin with you guys in monster hunter stories 2!

Forest I did not even wish to try my metal against the Dark Unicorn in a fight and found my egg at the second Rare Den I managed to locate. Until such time that Capcom may remove this method in a patch, I shall farm a mighty frost horse in this way in greater rate of success and greater peace of mind :)

1st off, it works. I tried 10 rare and rare high-rank dens before I accepted the Orochi Kirin Quest and did not get anything. The next gold den, after I went back and accepted the quest, he was in there 2nd pull.

You absolute lifesaver. I was starting to get annoyed with the subquest. The little chunk of xp was nice but it was so much work to have to fight it every time and not even get an egg. Took me 5 attempts with rare dens and I finally got it. Thank you for saving my sanity

Those stats u get at the start don’t really matter . I had a 50and 25 attack legiana. They had the same stats at level 50 both had 9 higher than kiranico but that is kinda small

And yes it works because the other special monsters added by DLC behave the same ! a friend of mine was having a hard time farm boltreaver astalos and I randomly obtain an egg of it without fighting one ! I told him were i found it , in a rare den in Alcala valeey and ten mins after he got his first egg bam ! So weird ( and cool ) from capcom taht we can farm thoses egg so easily !

This is true for all new deviants I can confirm. Was farming for nerg parts in terga base went through a bunch of rare dens and picked up a Hellblade Glavenus, never fought him either. Hope this helps happy riding

If you take a rathian with you, you can use her den hunt ability to show the dens on the map, and then quickly refresh and repeat. I did this when farming Nergigante!

Just got 3 of these after resetting about 15 rare dens. Just saved after quick loading the area over till a rare den was next to the save spot. Saved, then reset the den till I got the egg I wanted. 15th time I finally got a nice purple quality one!

Kinda want to put that ice aura move on a nergigante tank build, and skillseal with toxic sweep/sleep needle , wonder if its better to waste a turn doing that instead of pumping up. Aoe skillseal is pretty broken.

Man it took awhile to get one egg. Took many resets and then it still too till the 8th den to find it. Well time to keep going to find more. Use a Raithan or a Pink Raithan. Use the den search and check the map, don't see a rare den of any kind then reset at the C.Stand.

I beat the Sub-Quest Oroshi in the *Forest* with a popo and gotten an egg of 1 which I named Todoroki, since I'm not super serious on PvP I went and put fire genes on it to give it the Fire & Ice schtick like the Fire Oroshi Kirin I have on the first MHS on the 3DS. Thou I'm going g to give it 2 fire moves and a Fire Boost XL as I dont want to just go full fire and not have any room for Ice Gene's from Gammoth, other Oroshi Kirins, and if I ever get 1, Velkhana.

Dissapointed in the genes for mizu and kirin, kirin got a 5 cost move that adds skillseal, all the ice moves already have skillseal, then a 48 cost aor attack, we already had few of those from velkhana, it may be a bit lower if soo thats good, mizu got a sub optimal water buff move, not as good as valient flare or azure voltage and a wierd fire trap move. Ohh well, still gonna build both of them. Havent looked to see if gammoth got anything cool yet.

Forest! To add to his farming method. Once you locate a rare den, save and of you don't get the oroshi egg, reset and try again. Then you have a rare den on standby to try and get the proper pull.

Hellbreaker is from Bloodbath not Tigrex and it's "Deals heavy non-elemental damage to one enemy. Low chance to greatly lower defense for 3 turns." at base and I wouldn't say the new one is better simply because this move greatly lowers not just lowers. With status inflict up it happens often enough anyway. Edit: Or you meant Breakthrough Strike which it is better than. Forest.

9th try i got her, 9th freaking try and i was like "oh my gosh" and just ran out of the den with my prize XD i was ready to try over 100 times becuse Kirin has to be my fav monster and i can for sure overdo something i want to get to the point of obession XD. Edit and i mean the quest method.
