I walked in the room where my husband was sitting and said, “I hate to say this, I really hate to say this, but I’ve watched six women tell me how to finish off a mitered binding for a quilt and have had to rip out three times. I just typed it in on KZbin and found one video by a MAN explaining how to do it. And he did it perfectly! One try and I got it. Thank you very much.

Thank you. I appreciated the tip of folding the first binding tail at 90 degrees....wasn't sure what that was about. It is a perfect solution to not getting twists when joining this way. Twists are sneaky and yours is the only video that I found to address this.

I've been watching lots of KZbin videos to prepare for binding my first quilt. Many show the method of overlapping the ends the width of the binding to get the correct cut. But none show it as clearly as you. I especially like the way you show to fold the right fabric up and open the left over it to pin it together. The others are twisting the fabric and it's hard to follow. Awesome video. Thank you.

I have been trying to do this for years and was so confused watching all the many videos. Yours was the only one that was so beautifully explained, with the camera on the right side so you could actually see what you were doing! Oh I loved it. No other video ive watched is as soothing and is as precise. Every detail you include is vital. . I hate it when a tutorial tells me to "eye ball" it, because i dont know what im looking for! This time it was "laid out" for me, counted out for me, and measured! Who knew? Not to mention pinned. Thank you for using contrasting colored binding ends for this demonstration All of your efforts were very helpful.

I love that this video is on a channel that is not so much about quilting. That’s probably why it was so helpful to me. I love it~ my brain sees things backwards sometimes and this was so clearly shown. The sample of the quilt length instead of a whole quilt, and the two color binding strips was ingenious! So much easier for me (and others) to visualize. I think sometimes the teachers and professional quilters forget how it was when they began creating too. Although they have many valuable hints and projects, this one is my favorite.
