Even if your not a beginner it will still help someone reinforce what they have already learned. Great video!

All of your lessons are fantastic. I ordered Paul Rubens but Rembrandt and Sennelier aren't much more really. Are Sennelier to soft for a zero experience beginner?

Autumn; a time to harvest; a time of Thanksgiving. I always liked the name, "Autumn" In fact the first girl I fell in love with, was her name. Her hair was of Auburn, that acted-as a Halo; giving her ruddy complexion a softness to her blue eyes. Until one day she punched me because I wouldn't share the pink crayon. She broke my heart that day. Suddenly one day in Jr. High School, while standing on the track field; she decided to express her love for me. Fortunately... I held the second fastest time in school... I see freckles, Im gone.. Great tip Susan, and thanks for the memories. 😜

Autumn is my favorite season. Thank you for the great tutorials you give. Has anyone tried Blick soft pastels? I ordered Paul Rubens but having 2nd thoughts. Some say Sennelier is to soft to learn with. Any thoughts for a not so good artist!
@monetcafe Жыл бұрын
I haven't used Blick pastels, but I've had some of my followers say they like them. Paul Ruben's pastels are similar in consistency to Sennelier. Personally, I don't think they are too soft to learn with, but if you prefer a harder brand you might try Rembrandts.

Lovely video Susan, I believe it is a bit easier tutorial to follow, Thanks! I do not care for this Canson paper but their newer pebbled sand texture paper is so much better and even less expensive than the Mi-Teintes papers. Your mixing of the colors is done so well. Thanks for continuing to show us here on KZbin too!

Thanks my friend... are you referring to the Canson XL papers? I have some and I really like it.
@mjpete272 жыл бұрын
@@monetcafe Lindsay Weirich used "Canson XL Sand Grain Dry Mixed Media Pads" during her month of September Pastels and I got some and it is the best cheap paper for pastels ever! It is not sanded paper but a sand texture.

First time watching a video of yours and I am hooked!!! Thank you ☺️ I’ve always used my pastels as accents to my mixed media art, but now you’ve inspired me to use it as a primary medium!!! So excited! Thank you again 🤩♥️🎈

I love the concept of the inside out. That's really what it is, really. I love your paintings, but I am partial to y your trees.

Yes, that concept really helped me to understand about how to layer values and colors. So happy it was helpful, Sharon.

I love your chanel very much. After watching the films I start to paint pastel painting. Thanks a lot. May I ask how do you preserve all the painting when you finished them? Thanks 😍
@monetcafe2 жыл бұрын
Hi Annie I’m so happy you liked my channel. I actually store my pastel paintings in clear plastic bags that I get from www.clearbags.com. I insert the painting in the bag with a piece of foam core board cut to fit. It works great and keeps the painting safe for handling and shipping.
