Setting up the proper distance from the ball was a major stumbling block for me, with a membership plan I was able to send Kirk videos that he could analyze and provide encouragement as I worked through the drills. I believe that this significantly quickened my pace of improvement which allowed me to consistently drop 20 or more strokes per round in a single year. I continue to work with Kirk on my setup and swing with the hopes of breaking 80 this year. Thanks Kirk for all the great guidance and encouragement

Played my 1st 9 holes in 2 years last week and was 26 over par duffing the majority of shots. Stumbled upon Kirks videos and channel and spent a few hows practicing his drills in my house. Played the same 9 holes last night and was 12 over par! Consistant ball striking throughout the bag! Kirks teachings are so simple and really work! Its fathers day in the uk soon and ive asked the kids to sign me up on setup 4 impact golf!

I can't say enough positive things about this system. I play in Wisconsin so I have roughly 5-6 months of no golf. First round this spring I shot an 80. Next time out was a 78. I credit this to the setup 4 impact method. I have never had so much consistency with my ball striking. Put the work in, do the drills, you will get better.

Dan What were you scoring before? Did you learn at school or online? I tried online and never mastered drill one.

Kirk thank you so much for sharing this simple swing. Believe me I learned every type of swing but i found this one you teach to be more consistent and effortless to compress the ball! You the man! By the way I went from shooting double digits down to signal digits! 👍👏🙌👍👏🙌 ⛳️ 🏌️♂️

Wonderful videos KJ! Your drill with mini shot exaggerates hands forward holding off release or roll of hands. Your first swing looks like an early rolling of hands through impact. Should we be attempting to hold off release at impact To ensure club is going through square?

This has been a game changer for me. One thing I struggle with is tempo. Have you addressed this in a previous video? Would love to hear your thoughts.
@Setup4Impact11 ай бұрын
I have learned that in order to have proper tempo your swing must be fundamentally sound. So working on tempo when you release the club early will not fix the issue. By my estimation 95+% of golfers are releasing early, but most think they are not. I help golfers learn to move properly with my online coaching program which allows you to send in video of your swing through a free app. Starting first with very short swings (Drill 1) and then progressing to longer swings as you get the shorter swings right. Through this practice you learn a proper transition, release, and therefore will also have great tempo. More info at setup4impact.com/online/

I think this swing type is what works for me, except I still struggle with long irons. Is there anything I have to be aware of for longer irons like a 5 iron? Oddly I don’t have any issues 5 hybrid.
@Setup4Impact Жыл бұрын
I think you need to practice more with the longer irons, and pay attention to the ball position. Too far back, or too far forward and you will have difficulty. I try to feel that the swing is the same as the shorter irons. You also need to make sure that you hit the ground under the ball, and that your distance from the ball is correct. I teach you how to do all this with my drills in my learning program at setup4impact.com/online/

Thanks Kirk! Is your left wrist flat the top of your backswing our slightly cupped? Or does it matter?
@Setup4Impact Жыл бұрын
On tour you see all three possibilities at the top of backswing. My opinion is that Impact is what matters. I would guess I am a bit cupped which is also how I set up.

What are your thoughts starting and leaving weight on front?

Hi Kirk, where does speed come from in your swing? How fast do you swing the driver? I’m lucky to get mine swinging at 80-85 but I’m fit/flexible/strong enough I think to swing at 100mph. I’m just swinging wrong… can I swing to my full potential with your swing?
@Setup4Impact Жыл бұрын
The speed comes from moving the body properly and delaying the release until just after impact. My drills show you how to learn this at setup4impact.com/online/ My Driver speed gets up to 110 MPH when I am well warmed up. Most should gain speed from Setup 4 Impact as it is easier to hit the ball in the center of the clubface.
