@0:53 Steve rides through a crime scene! There's a little bit of wind noise, but other than that, it sounds good. There's a lot of detail that can be heard. The tires and the surfaces they're on, to the little noises from the brakes, cables, derailer, etc. And the sta.a.a.i.i.i.r.r.s.s.s too! SQUIRREL!

I think it's really remarkable that you've re-invested the money that you've made from the store/Patreon into ensuring the integrity of your work- even when your integrity was already beyond reproach. Tremendous respect for that.

Steve, a couple questions for ya. If you could change 1 thing about the following, what would they be? 1. KZbin 2. Tech Industry as a Whole 3. Yourself You're a smart dude, and I think it'd be cool to hear that from ya. I suppose I should post this under an Ask GN video, but it just seems a little unrelated. Cheers, mate. Thanks for the mild exercise motivation.

The setup looks great Steve. I enjoy the trails you ride, and the sound is much better. GN is well known for it's honesty and integrity, I trust it as do most followers. don't let the good solid work you do be sullied by the vocal minority. you are trusted and let that be all that matters.

Love BKXC too, small world ain't it?

Its not shilling just because they pay, it's only shilling if you adjust your reviews content to keep getting invites. #edit you deserve the travel expanse, optimising revenue for more content like the power supply and fan reviews and they are costly.
@gnsteve88465 жыл бұрын
You and I know that, but not everyone does. We were sick of seeing idiotic comments about paid flights, as if people think we want to go on them and a trip to a hotel room is some extravagant "gift," so it was worth it to just pay for it ourselves. It's not like we do too many of them per year and we already pay for conventions.

It's so cool to watch and listen to these videos (It just make me want to get into mountain biking). I feel like it's ok to let companies pay for travel expenses (flights, hotel, transport) if they're inviting you to a conference or event. I don't really see it as being influenced by the company or how it can make you more biased. It is cool how the revenue from patreon and the store gives you the option to deny it though.

What's your take on hardtails vs full sus? Is a hardtail enough for everything other than enduro/downhill?
@noahbirdrevolution4 жыл бұрын
If you are not doing downhill, then hardtail is quite a bit more efficient in terms of pedaling, and cost less considering no rear suspension.

What's the Stereo vs Mono mic help with? Background / wind noise? I admire that you're willing to draw no line when deciding how far to go for trust. However, it makes me wonder if people influenced by disinformation / trolls have effected your perspective here. I hope I speak for everyone; I see no issue with you guys having your flights funded for launch events. It would take a lot for you to lose trust not only with how much detail you put into each launch / review, but zero hesitation for honesty regardless of "who's side" you're on. Someone seeing your videos as untrustworthy (without some experience) would be like someone thinking Allyn Malventano's storage reviews were lacking in detail! :P

Jeez, around here that first part wouldn't be considered as XC at all. More along the "Trail" or Blueish rated. Still looks great. Sad that people have to setup "bandit" trails due to so few regular trails being available
@gnsteve88465 жыл бұрын
Yeah. All the good trails are illegal. This one is legal, so that's a plus, but it's way too easy. We definitely need the bandit trails for variety.

@@gnsteve8846 Such a shame, Thankfully for me around my area in Michigan I have 12 legal public trails within 1 hour of driving. None are down hill but most are still quite fun. The gopro effect kinda takes the edge off the climbs and downhill bits though
