This is accidentally the best RNAV approach tutorial i mean this gives me the basics i needed for other planes. Straight and to the point thanks !

Incredibly great walkthrough! Appreciate the thorough instructions explaining the procedures prior to commencing! Thanks! :)

Maan, you make it look so easy in your videos :) very much in detail and comprehensive and it all makes sense. Will try it again. Just to add - I have discovered yesterday that the performance for fbw a380 is much better when we record using GE force experience rather than OBS. Out of topic here but, OBS causes significant fps drop and it makes the aircraft almost impossible to handle. Not the GE experience though. Thanks again for the tutorial.

The general guidance is for every 10 ft high/low you are, adjust the FPA by 0.1. So if you’re 50 ft high on a 3 degree path, set 3.5 degrees. That should get you in the right place for the next check one mile later. Update it at every check, so if you find you’re still 20 ft high one mile later, adjust to 3.2 degrees. If there’s more than a mile until the next check, then it’s probably best to just reset 3 degrees after a mile, and wait until the next check to make a further adjustment if needed.

Do you have a camera cfg you can share yet? 😊

Where does it tell you to activate 0.3 nm from that way point? Is this a general rule? Or did I miss it on the approach sheet?
@EasyjetsimpilotАй бұрын
This is a general rule, so can be applied to the A320, A330, A350 Etc. As well.

Nice clear video, thanks. I don't know what it is but I cannot land this thing at all well and I've been an Airbus guy for years, I'd be interested to know your TCA Sidestick settings. Much obliged if you do. 👍
@707liner8Ай бұрын
I mainly fly the FBW A32NX and found I didn't have to change any of the TCA Sidestick settings to fly the A380. My settings are: Joystick L Axis X - sensitivity - 0%, sensitivity + 0%, dead zone 3%, neutral 0%, extremity dead zone 0%, reactivity 75% Joystick L Axis Y - sensitivity - -29%, sensitivity + -29%, dead zone 1%, neutral 0%, extremity dead zone 0%, reactivity 75% Joystick R Axis Z (for rudder and nose steering) - sensitivity - -48%, sensitivity + -48%, dead zone 4%, neutral 0%, extremity dead zone -1%, reactivity 80% I find these work really well - good luck!

Thanks a lot. I’ll give it a go.

It's a big plane, I found that focusing on VERY small movements with the stick really helped. It's almost like I let the aircraft fly itself, and the only thing I do is very small corrections to it.

last time i used this plane, ils was working just fine

The ILS works perfectly - but not all approaches are ILS approaches.
@alvianchoiriapriliansyah9882Ай бұрын
Not all runways have ILS active at all times, pilots have to be ready for all scenarios
@weirdboy7Ай бұрын
Pardon if this is a noob question, but wouldn't you add the Rwy elevation of 227' to 680', since it's a Baro minimum? So you would get a decision altitude of 907'?
@alvianchoiriapriliansyah9882Ай бұрын
I think the local altimeter & the fact that the 680 is from the chart has already taken care of that
@EasyjetsimpilotАй бұрын
The chart takes this into account. If you see the numbers in small on the minimums chart, you'll see it is usually around 200 (which is 200ft above the ground) and the larger numbers are 200+airfield elevation above the ground.

Inibuilds have RNP approach? My PC crashes every time I install FBW client, even not downloading their planes. Just the client, FBW. PC crashes when running the MSFS.
@Angel33Demon666Ай бұрын
It’s a shame that RNAV approaches aren’t automatically executed (like in the Fenix for example), but rather you have to do it semi-manually by setting the FPA.

What FPS are you getting on the A380X
@rasteekАй бұрын
700
@ClevaTrevaАй бұрын
25-35 on the ground (8k model, cabin on, major airports with traffic injection and GSX) and up to 60fps in the air. It's surprisingly light on my system - I had visions of it completely tanking fps.
