Le amo a Leandro. He estado aprendiendo español durante 2 años pero hace 8 meses tenía un deseo para aprender portugués. Me di cuenta que portugués es muy similar y podría entender un vez que yo aprendí las suenas del idioma. Miro mucho los videos de Easy Portuguese y aprendo mucho con Leandro y Daniel. Me encanta el sonrisa de Leandro y su personalidad me da mucho alegría. A veces me siento como estoy engañando de español cuando aprendo portugués. O que torna o espanhol (sobretudo o castelhano falado na Espanha) muito diferente em relação às pronúncias do idioma português brasileiro, é ligado a muitos fatores, abaixo dois principais: 1. No Brasil, o português sofreu muita influência das línguas indígenas e africanas ao longo de sua complexa história. Por exemplo, os tons abertos nos finais e começos de frase têm bastante influência das línguas africanas quando o Brasil passou pela horrível época da escravidão. Há palavras como ''caçula'' (o irmão mais novo entre os demais filhos de uma família), ''quitanda'' (uma espécie de mercado hortifruti, e que muda bastante de região para região) e ''moleque'' (expressão usada para se referir a ''garoto'', ou em uma ocasião mais pejorativa como ''Que moleque!" alguém imaturo em alguma situação). 2. E os indígenas enriqueceram nosso idioma não apenas com palavras lindas e BEM brasileiras como ''xará" (pessoa com o mesmo nome que o seu), ''abacaxi'' (que em vários idiomas é ''ananas'') etc, mas também com o ''r'' retroflexo (o r do inglês americano, p.ex) usado em regiões interioranas do Sudeste, Centro-Oeste e Sul brasileiro - e isso porque esta letra não era parte da fonética das línguas tupis e acabou sofrendo ''retroflexão linguística''. Por fim, em contrapartida os africanos e indígenas nativos do Brasil nos deram tons únicos, abertos, intensos e apaixonantes - tornando o português do Brasil desafiador pros falantes de espanhol 😅 Abraços! ¡Hola! el portugués fue el primer idioma romance que aprendí. El idioma en sí y las diferencias con el español pueden ser notables pero también muy interesantes en el caso de las palabras (que muchas veces son idénticas en escritura pero diferentes en significado) y la gramática. Mientras leer unos libros en espanol, yo tambien esta leer uno libro en portuguese porque eso obligaron me senti nitidez para descansar. Porque debido a que las conjugaciones de los verbos en español son tan difíciles de memorizar, necesito un descanso.El portugués es suave de escuchar, así que es un descanso.

Cuando leo algo en portugués, entiendo la mayor parte porque he estado aprendiendo español durante mucho tiempo, aunque no me interesa tanto el portugués. Es probable que la pronunciación sea confusa a veces. 😅

There is a dialect continuum between Portugal and Romania. All of them are modern varieties of latin, and many of them are not national languages... In a way, they can be all understood as dialects of latin...

Still there are portuguese variants that use the traditional latin R sound and not the french R. The traditional portuguese R sound is the same that spanish or italian... Even southern parts of France in the last century has used this R.

I think the guttural R sound from brazilian portuguese is an french and dutch influence. Dutchmen and french wandered in this land during the colonization of this land for quite a while.

Maybe if mother nature hadn't destroyed the Spanish Armada and Napoleon hadnt back stabbed Spain ambushing them by surprise causing the fall of the Spanish Empire you'd understand Spanish a little better. As a Spaniard of Galician heritage. Today I'm Christian and speak Castilian aka Spanish instead of Arabic praying to Allah 20 times a day thanks to Visigothic Nobleman Don Pelayo. Valiant warrior King of the North. King of Asturias. Crowned KIng by the loyal men who fought alongside him. Seeder of the Reconquista, and their descendants who continued forming small Christian Kingdoms in the North, fighting and resisting for 700 years. Generation to generation ( instead of running away into France) slowly expanding until the whole of Iberia was free of the peaceful messengers of islam in 1492AD when the remaining Christian Kingdoms united to become Spain. (Except for the Kingdom of Portugal because they're special but I still love them) Today the gates of Toledo have once again been opened into Europa and the West.. *Reconquista II Intensifies*

I used to work with a Portuguese guy (parents were from Portugal, so he spoke Northern-Portugal Portuguese), and he could not STAND the way Brazilians spoke Portuguese. He called it "dirty Portuguese". I guess it's the same way the French view Québécois.

In my opinion the brazilian Portuguese is now so different from Portugal that it should be considered a separate language, the brazilian language. We could organize our language without a need to coordinate with the Portuguese authorities, and they would no longer need to say that we speak dirty portuguese here in Brazil.
