Llorar (Spanish), pleurer (French), plorar (Catalan), piangere (Italian), chorar (Portuguese( from Latin plorare . Llvuvia, pluie, pluja, pioggia, chuva from Latin pluvia. So when it was PL in Latin it remained PL in Catalan and French. Became LL in Spanish, PI in Italian and CH in Portuguese. Just a note about 5:12

'Enriquecer' y 'extraterrestre' no son dificiles de pronunciar para nosotros estudiantes, Paulina. Son muy cercas de estas palabras en ingles y frances. Buen video sin embargo.

Los nombres de los volcanes no son de español, los son de náhuatl, es la lengua de los aztecas. Cómo un anglohablante la palabra más difícil pronunciar para mí era refrigerador.

Es interesante que Héllene dijo ,,jejoglifico" y no ,,jeroglífico",podemos ver que el sonido ,,j" está muy cerca de ,,r" para ella,es lo mismo cuando dices una palabra que contiene muchas ,,l" y,,r",los mezclarás Edit: Llorar y pleurer no son tan diferentes, palabras latinas que comenzaban con p+l,se cambiaron a p+i,y luego,a ll(y),por ejemplo,,lleno" es ,,plein" en francés,o ,,llueve" y ,,il pleut",curiosamente,parece que el italiano es el término medio ,,piange"(llora),,pieno"(lleno),,piove"(llueve)

The 'R' doesn't roll only at the beginning of words, but specifically at the beginning of syllables. So in 'ronronear', those Rs are showing up in the middle of the word but they're the beginning of their syllable (onset). Also, they're preceded by 'N'; if they were preceded by a vowel then they would be a flap/tap.
