SOLVED - How to Fix Black Screen Galaxy S4 | S4 Active | Galaxy Android unresponsive Screen

Just tried this on my Galaxy S3 after numerous attempts with removing the battery, pressing the power button for 3 minutes, waiting 10 minutes...nothing. Then I stumbled upon your video and removed the back of my phone and pressed down anything that looked loose. It worked! Thank you very much!

Omg I snapped the display plug in on the mainboard and it clicked and my phone came on after 3 years 😆 thank you!!! My Samsung S3 had the same symptoms as your phone there but it’s fixed now thanks (after I changed the mainboard from another broken Samsung S3 and used your tutorial for the connection)

Harjinder Sidhu - I am so thrilled that I found your video, this one. Earlier yesterday, I dropped my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active from the height of about 3 foot, it has a case on it that is padded. A few minutes later when I went to use the phone, I noticed my screen was black and no matter what I did, I couldn't get any response from the phone. I thought for sure I was going to have to replace the LCD screen and digitizer, which I had to do when I first bought the phone, it was used and had a cracked screen. AnI money is tight for me right now. I saw your video, after trying suggestions from some others, and I decided to try your advice. As soon as I got the screws out and lifted that plate, I knew I had the same problem as you showed in the video. Anyway, I am very grateful to you and this video. This would have cost me a minimum of $60 to repair. Thank you very much.

Thanks so much for posting this. I disassembled my Note 3 trying to play with the antenna strength by putting foil strips on it and when I restarted my phone it had the black screen and all the symptoms that yours had. Turns out the flex digitizer came loose when I popped the back off!

You are da man! I just experienced the same thing. Usually when I get this, I just press the power button once its unlocked and the screen comes back, however this time it didnt. I followed your steps in opening it up, and reseated the cable and voila! Screen back on! Good job sir! 1 internet point for you :)

Great info Easy Steps! You led me to discover that for my 'regular' S4, the only thing I had to do to fix my 'black screen' was remove and replace the battery. This may make for a good 'first step.' FYI, before fixing the black screen, I could tell the phone was on only because the blackberry light was blinking -- I could not turn the phone off or on.

Hi there, I saw your video and was curious to ask you about my problem. I have an S4 bought around 4 months ago, while walking, I decided to call someone and while taking my s4 out of my jeans pocket, I dropped it pritty hard on concrete floor and worst, it was raining very heavily so hardly for 1 second, the phone was in water (probably half a second), it was off and not working, I removed the battery as that is what I know to do if water pours in, then after some time I tried to switch it on by pressing the power button. The small round light at the top started blinking and the touch buttons at the right and left side of the middle button at the bottom also started blinking so I thought the phone is working but there was total black screen, when I pressed volume button it started vibrating but the display never showed, totally black screen. its been more than 1 day now I am without phone, please help...

Dropped an samsung galaxy s4 mini, small cracks not palpable on the right upper corner, was on mute, opens fine, buttons work and light, but screen black non responsive: did the trick by removing battery and pressing button for 2 minutes, didn't work; took out the screws , checked the connections, intact, opened them to look underneath , the only thing I saw irregular (no experience so I don't know for sure) was the yellow band connecting the 2 pieces had traces of being forcefully bent. Put it all back together but screen still black! I didn't see any damage done by me cracking open the phone. Any suggestions besides paying a professional?

tried this for an unresponsive touch screen..my phone screen turned on & worked fine before this.. i just couldn't put my passcode in at all or click anything on my screen.. after i did this my screen is going green slowly & black in some areas.. >:(

Have you had any experience with an S4 active not charging and not turning on? Tried different cables and different batteries. Still wouldn't come on with a new battery. Computer wouldn't recognize the phone either. The blue light was blinking yesterday but was unresponsive to buttons, except when powered off. Then it wouldn't power back on. Thanks!

I just find the answer and the screen is probably defect and you must change the hole screen and not just the glass. This would cost about 100 dollar to rapair. Im currently trying to sell my S4 becasue its not woth rapairing?

I could not get my screen to come on. Tried everything suggested on KZbin then after days of trying I come to the conclusion. I will have to get another phone. I took the battery out and the SIM card. And put the phone in the freezer overnight. Then put the battery back. And after a while. The screen come on But very faded. Still going to get another phone.
