This is so funny. Re: Justine saying she switched from nursing to history. I went to nursing school at Deaconess College of Nursing across from Forest Park in St. Louis back in the 90s. It has since been torn down. But I wanted to leave to study history instead but my parents were not ok with it. So I have a degree in nursing but I teach history and science at a homeschool co-op. I don’t regret the medical knowledge I have because I married a hemophiliac and one of my children had chronic illness. God knew I’d need it ❤ And He knew you’d use history so well to educate others and enjoy His story. I love your channels. Y’all are so kind to one another and it’s sweet to see.

Laughed out loud when you said beans on toast are popular in uk. I was sitting eating this as you said it home made bread slandered in fresh butter covered with baked beans in tomato sauce thickened by pat of fresh butter and topped off with natural Scottish mature cheddar cheese. My dad, who is 93, lived in Boston during the depression. Of course there wasn’t much money, so his mother would often make a big pot of inexpensive Boston baked beans to feed her six children. What didn’t get eaten one day would get reheated for the next day, and so on. Eventually they would become a sort of dry paste which would be spread on bread and become a bean sandwich. With ketchup.

My grandma was Irish and she'd make homemade beans of all kinds. The next day we'd have a cup of tea and bean sandwiches. I passed on the recipes aka receipts to my 3 sons and now my first daughter in law. We all still enjoy bean sandwiches. We use bacon in our beans or ham diced small. Our ham is done true to historical standards where I live which tastes great in bean dishes.

Yes Lady Justine!!! I would pick the bowl of fresh fruit over candy any day! Bananas, strawberries, blueberries, rasperries, blackberries, oranges, apricots, grapes, cherries, apples, watermelon, fresh green & purple figs, kiwi, peaches, plums, pears, fresh lemon juice tossed into the bowl and add a generous helping of heavy cream whipped with sugar and a dash of real vanilla extract.......my tummy is growling.....I think I have a dusty can of fruit cocktail {probably expired 🤣} in the back of the pantry......🤔. LOL 🥰 you are all invited. Everyone else bring the wine and any other aperitif (sp?)(sweet, alcoholic beverages).....I have the tea & coffee here. Nice idea....g'night to you all.

I do love y'alls videos. I hope u never quit. Pay no mind to people being offended by Ron's knees showing. In today's society u cant turn on the tv or go outside without seeing someone show way more than that. My dad always said " people will gag at a knat but swallow an elephant!" Its very true. The great thing about america is if u find it offensive, dont watch. We still have that freedom. Thank u both for these wonderful videos and all the time in which it takes to send them out. Blessings.

You two are so refreshing! I always look forward to watching both of your channels! You inspire me in the way that you so gladly embrace the simple ways of life and the old traditions. I grew up in a home with beautiful Colonial/1800's décor to the max! This was my Mom's passion.....and I loved it too! This meal looks yummy! Keep up the great work Justine & Ron!

My Dad used to grow a white grape that was longish, like black grapes (not those freaking looong grapes) & they tasted so fresh. You can still taste the same flavor when you drink white grape juice. The white grapes they sell in grocery stores now don’t come vaguely near those I had when I was a teenager.
