Some explanation in youtube is telling that egg is not good in kidney?

Right and also Tomatoes are doubtful
@HealUbyUs2 ай бұрын
In more advanced stages of kidney disease, when you have to restrict protein intake, you should stop eating eggs. Fot most people in kidney disease stage 2 or 3, egg whites are a great source of high-quality protein, which is essential for repairing tissues. For many kidney patients, protein is needed in moderate amounts, and egg whites offer a low-phosphorus option. But you should avoid egg yolk in all stages of kidney disease as it is high in phosphorus and cholesterol.

Hi phosporus and potassium causes creatinine. Sea shells and seafoods are high in phosporus
@HealUbyUsАй бұрын
Phosphorus and potassium and creatinine are entirely different things, chemically. and We haven't recommended seafood or sea shells in the video, have we?

The key words is “in moderation”, if you have a variety of foods that you’re eating it should not be a problem, but if you are eating eggs every morning for breakfast then you are possibly over doing it. But out of a 30 day month eating eggs 2-3 days out the month will probably not harm you.

Some Doctor said that coffe. is not good for those who have createnine
@HealUbyUs2 ай бұрын
Yes, in certain cases, doctors may ask their patients to avoid coffee. Coffee is a diuretic, meaning it promotes urine production. For those taking medications to help lower creatinine, diuretics might already be included, which can interact with coffee and increase urine output too much. Plus, for people prone to kidney stones, coffee may increase calcium excretion, adding to the risk of stone formation. Those with UTIs might also find coffee irritating, as it can worsen symptoms like frequent urination and bladder irritation. So moderation is key! Drinking coffee in moderation (1-2 cups per day) and switching to decaff (and sugar free), can help minimize these risks. Its also imporant to avoid drinking coffee close to medication time, especially before taking your medications, and enough water to compensate for fluid loss due to coffee's diuretic effect. Hope that helps!

Phosporus and potassium are creatinine
@HealUbyUsАй бұрын
While phosphorus, potassium, and creatinine are all important markers for kidney health, they aren’t the same thing. Phosphorus and potassium are minerals that the kidneys help regulate, while creatinine is a waste product produced as the normal part of muscle wear and tear (muscle metabolism). High levels of these are often used as an indicator of how well the kidneys are doing, but each serves a different role in the body. But thanks for bringing this up and feel free to let us know if there's anything else you'd like to know. ❤

You’re wrong! Eggs are hi in protein and the yolk is hi in phosporus.which is creatinine when you eat it. The white of the egg is protein no phosporus and not difficult to digest by kidney
@HealUbyUsАй бұрын
It sounds like there's some confusion here, so let's clear it up. High phosphorus and potassium don't directly "cause" creatinine. Creatinine is a waste product produced by your muscles during normal metabolism, and it's filtered out by your kidneys. You're right that egg yolks are high in phosphorus and that eggs are a good source of protein. Skipping egg yolks may be a good idea for people with kidney failure, but not everyone with CKD needs to avoid egg yolks; it depends on their individual kidney function. Your healthcare expert can tell you about if or how many egg yolks you can eat. In fact, the National Kidney Foundation does not recommend skipping eggs entirely. (Reference: www.kidney.org/kidney-topics/eggs) But yeah, skipping egg yolks makes eggs a relatively safer option for most CKD patients. Hope that helps! 🙂

Tomatoes is rich in oxalate as well as tofu and its not good for kidney stone.
@HealUbyUs2 ай бұрын
Thanks for bringing this up. You're right about tofu; it's high in oxalates and not recommended for people who already have kidney stones or have a history of kidney stones. Raw tomatoes, however, are very low in oxalates and can be safely enjoyed by kidney stone patients in moderation (1-2 raw tomatoes).

Do you know that eggs have proteins and hi phosporus which is not allowed for stage 3 up ckd? Protein too. Pls research before giving advice
@HealUbyUsАй бұрын
Thank you for sharing your concern about eggs with us! Let’s dive a bit deeper. You’re right that eggs are rich in protein and phosphorus, but there’s still a safer way to enjoy them for those with CKD. For example, one large boiled egg white has about 4-5 grams of protein and only about 15 mg of phosphorus, which is typically considered safe for most CKD patients. Egg whites provide a high quality protein source without the higher phosphorus content found in the yolk. But of course, it’s always best to check with your healthcare provider to ensure that any food fits your specific dietary needs based on your individual health condition.

I have ckd stage 3 and eat 2eggs frequently sometimes everyday seldom 5×a wk,but got low creatinine.
@HealUbyUsАй бұрын
@nineironricecake4617 Glad to know that your creatinine levels are under control. But probably would be a better idea if you could eat them in divided portion sizes (to keep the protein intake consistent without burdening your kidneys) and eat them without yolks if you've high cholesterol. Thanks for sharing, and hope that would help! 💖

We totally understand your frustration, and yeah, CKD might feel like a bit more complicated than other common conditions like heart disease and diabetes because there are several factors to be considered to manage the condition properly. But its also true that being mindful of the diet, avoiding the restricted foods and eating the healthier ones is key to managing the condition. We're with you and we'll always be happy to help you with anything that helps you manage CKD or any other health condition! 💖

@@HealUbyUseggs Tomatoes etc etc
@HealUbyUs2 ай бұрын
Thankyou for letting us know about your concern regarding eggs and tomatoes for CKD patients. Let's dive a bit deeper. We've talked about egg whites which are considered a much safer option for CKD patients than whole eggs. Egg whites are low in phosphorus and moderate in protein amount (3.6 g protein, 4.95 mg phosphorus. Source: USDA). Egg whites of 1-2 eggs can still be enjoyed safely by most CKD patients, but its best to talk to your kidney expert to know about the exact amount of egg whites depending on your condition. As for tomatoes, the primary concern associated with them is potassium. tomato sauces, ketchup, tomato juice, and other "processed" varieties are usually high in potassium, so its best to avoid them. Raw tomatoes, however, are low in potassium; A medium fresh tomato has about 290 mg potassium, making it a safer and a healthier choice compared processed tomato products. Hope that helps!
