SO MUCH FOOD, SO MUCH FUN!
A whole week of eating when I went on holiday - all inclusive!
Recovering from an eating disorder is hard, and so many past holidays have been incredible, but not enjoyed to the fullest because I worried so much or didn't eat everything I wanted... not trying different foods because I was too scared. But not anymore...
This was the best I have ever done in terms of food on holiday. I ate a lot, tried so much and even in moments where the ED has crept in, I recognised it and fought against it. I am so proud of myself, and I had the most amazing holiday making memories.
This week away and what I experienced here has also inspired me to try more food, recipes and not worry so much just in general.
What was your favourite day or meal I ate in this video?

i was thinking the same! RIght at the start of her channel she said she was sad that her ed caused her to isolate herself from her family and her sisters, and there were some videos where it seemed like Alisha was losing her patience and Satara looked like she was walking on eggshells around her. Now they all seem so close and its so lovely

it's completely understandable that you feel really hungry and have a large appetite, after being malnourished and underweight for so long your body will have enormous energy requirements! it needs a HUGE amount of energy to heal itself and make up for the huge energy deficit created by all your previous restriction! you're doing so so well !! you're like a whole new person :)

@yourlittle princess This is absolutly normal when you start recovery. You starved your body and now were it get's the food it needs it will crave food all the time, because it is in a defecite! Try as best as you can to honour mental and physical hunger. After a while it will go away from it self because your body is'nt underfeeded anymore 😊 Best of luck! 🍀
@Dana-ll2qo

@yourlittle princess I did crave the same things for a long time, but you have to remind that if you keep restricting you will crave these foods more and more! After a period of time you will eat more balanced and not craving these types of food all the time, trust me 😊 yes, i'm in recovery too

Alexa Cr anorexia comes in different forms, everyone thinks differently and in fact some people find it as a relief as they know they’re doing much better in recovery. And do you know what healthy even means?! Healthy isn’t only about the physical aspects, her mind and mental state seems so much more ‘healthier’ or better nor her physical state

Gaining weight and losing control is like the #1 fear of people eating disorders, so commenting on things like their weightgain can trigger bad things. I love how at 1:30 you say ‘it’s lunchtime’ whereas a year ago you probably wouldn’t have acknowledged that it was time to eat, so proud, this motivates me to recover💕

First of all - I am so happy that you could enjoy your holidays 😎 with your amazing family and also happy for your family that it was so relaxing with you 💛 Really, I am sure that you are supporting so many of us as you are demonstrating that you also have 'body struggles' - I feel bloated very fast and then stop eating - now I will try so hard to continue as you did 🤩 Thank you so much and all the best for you and your family 😘

Could you make a video about how you manage the bloating and the "bad" effect of the recovery? I'm scared to fully commit because of this but I'm sure if you talk about it and your experience, it could be really really helpfull ❤ Thank you!

There isn't a bad effect. Your body naturally will bloat. It looks extreme, and can often feel uncomfortable for a recovering person. Not due to actual physical changes but more the mental reaction one has to seeing their body that way. Over time, your tummy be able to easily stretch as u digest and as a result doesnt bloat as much.

I would suggest push through. Remind yourself the bloating natural, temporary and will get less extreme the healthier you become. There is no time like the present

Thanks for your great video as always. All inclusive is the bomb! You made me realise something about myself/ my ED in this vid though, when you talked about the deserts. Even though I consider myself well on way to recovery (my mind is a million times better than it was 1 or 2 years ago) but I still can't eat deserts. All my other habbits/ rituals, safe food stuff is a lot better, but if I'm offered cake or desert or at a restaraunt I never eat desert! My head just goes "NO you don't like that!" And then I feel sick. The stupid thing is I'm always baking for my family and partner. I'm gonna try some of my chocolate cake that I made yesterday! You've inspired me❤

I know why as well, when I was in my ED I would almost hypnotise (for want of a better word) myself to feel sick even at the site of sweet food/ treats, so even when I see it I feel physically sick and I'm just like "that will make you feel sick" "you don't like that, it makes you sick". But I'm going to try and challenge it, the last strings if my ED trying to cling on to me.
