Great video mate, white Zman soft plastic 3-5 inch paddle tail are the all round best lure for Barra. Also best to use a 3/0-6/0 snake lock tt hook with 1/6-3/8 weight. good luck mate!

when doing your FG knots if you get some false nail glue and put a drop of that on your knot it helps it from coming undone. Love the vids Luke :)

Use fresh mullet as cut bait they work the best for me. I take the fillets put a chunk( half a finger long) and feed it onto the hook 2 times meat side first then skin side. Thats my fav bait I caught everything on.

Luke bro, you need to hold the rode in your hands so when a fish bites you can hook it by pulling the rode back. You keep losing fish because you are not setting the hook in the fish’s mouth. Keep theses great videos up, it makes my day seeing that you have uploaded another video.

love the content. maybe try and fish with a carolina rig to ensure that your bait has more movement. maybe the sinker right on top of the hook is preventing proper movement

Just a tip you should use a sinker then tie swivel on so the sinker is stopped by the swivel then stick on a trace line attached to the other end of the swivel that way the sinker sinks but the bait will float up so it's just off the ground

I live in South Australia so I think we get different types of mullet but we can’t use cast nets it’s the law and we catch mullet just in small hooks and squid to get them and they taste like 8/10 good video I wonder what that fish you lost was tho

Sometimes, when i want to use float when the water is too fast, i would put a only a large sinker to my rod, then throw it far.. then i make a leader around roughly 2 feet with the live bait, and put swivel and float at the leader.. then attach my swivel to my mainline that i had trown ealier.. the leader with the float will slowly maintain it position, because the mainline was secure with a big sinker.. just some idea for you to try ok brother...

thought I should let you know if your trying to get some more mangrove jacks try a 4inch zman diesel minnows in calico candy jacks like red, use a 1/12 or 1/8 jighead with a 3/0 hook and cast as close to the mangroves as possible fairly slow retrive with twitches and pauses and the jacks should hopefully come out and smack your plastic. just try matching the hatch another lure I like is the chasebaits flick prawn in jelly prawn. legend get after them man

You need some local help mate, there is a big deep hole upstream from where you were which you can cast to and the barra congregrate there
