11:48 the potato salad has beets in it, which is why it’s pink. Lots of Caribbean countries make it with beets on occasion. And you’ve mostly been eating at Haitian restaurants over there. Caribbean is a very broad name for that type of cuisine….Caribbean can be Dominican, Haitian, Jamaican, Cuban, Panamanian, Guyanese, Trinidadian..and they’re all completely different from one another.

The Caribbean place you guys ate at was Haitian, you’re able to see the flags on the wall. Maybe y’all should inquire more about certain dishes before just eating and judging them. The food you guys ate is considered fast food in Haitian cultures. Haiti is a very poor country so the dishes are a mix of whatever they can eat, hence the fatty food.

Another great episode! Love mexican food! My local spot has something called Pollo Fiesta which is chicken breast topped with Chorizo and cheese and served with rice and beans. Also served on a hot skillet. Very tasty.
