Bring on the curry! Two thumbs up, way up for the curry show. Chicken tikka masala and murgh makhani, I found the best (so far) at Royal Curry Cafe on Lankershim in Toluca Lake. Their dal makhani is also superb.

I’ve tried a lot of Indian restaurants in North America and wouldn’t recommend this place. Tried it based on this video and was sadly disappointed. Dishes were either bland or not well flavored. The Tikka Masala tasted like spicy super sweet candied sweet potatoes, it did not taste good. Will not return and questioning the review.

I have to try this one. So many are mediocre. Have you been to Akbar: Cuisine of India? There is one in Marina del Rey, one near China Town, and one in Pasadena. They are my favorite (that I've tried, and I've certainly tried a lot). So many places the CTM (Chicken Tikka Masala) just tastes like sweet tomato sauce.

I’m an Indian American living in LA and I can say with confidence LA has subpar Indian and Pakistani food unfortunately. We have to drive 35 miles to Artesia for above average food. Compared to SF, Chicago, Houston, Jackson Heights, Queens outside of NYC the Indian food here sucks. Most Indians and Pakistanis living in LA I’ve spoken too agree. ‘Cinnamon’ used to be called ‘Cardamom’ under different ownership. I’ve been to ‘Cardamom’, it was okay for LA. With Indian and Pakistani food in LA, we find ourselves qualifying our experience with the phase “…for LA”…”it’s not bad for LA”, “it’s pretty good for LA.” ‘Cinnamon’ is in a predominantly Orthodox Jewish neighborhood and is not kosher, so I’m guessing the neighborhood locals don’t go here. None of the Indians and Pakistanis I know have ever been here.

From the look of the dishes you ordered, they don’t appear to be as good and authentic compared to Indian food in New York, London and cities in India.

Chicken tikka masala is British, not Indian food. Sliced pizza-based naan looks really sad.
@yushdeep18392 жыл бұрын
Chicken tikka masala is indian food. It was invented in India and all the spices used and method is indian. British people eat only boiled food and fish and chips. It's like saying pizza is American food not Italian
@james-eq7cx2 жыл бұрын
How come britishers started using masala and named a dish masala. Masala is itself an Indian term.

Hey. Didn't mean as derogatory. You know what Brits eat and where the influences come from. Had my best curries in the UK before visiting Malaysia.
