This would make a good series. You can go to different restaurants and try the healthier options. You can also give the prices of the items. It's your a little full, you don't want to starve yourself. I got a scale and have been weighing myself once a week. I don't like plan water so I started putting orange slices and different fruit in it. It's pretty good. I think you inspire me to lose weight.

First time commenting, as someone who struggles with yo-yo dieting I’m excited you’re giving it another go. You’re inspiring me to give it another go. Just one suggestion, intermittent fasting is great. I’ve had success with it. But having cream or sugar in your coffee kicks you out of fat burning mode, I believe. I know it would be had but I just wanted to make that comment for you. You can look it up yourself to verify. I’ve been following your channel for years and get a lot of enjoyment from your vlogs. Keep up the good work.

I took up walking and watching my diet, YES it works, you don’t have to go crazy or suffer to lose weight. Also after a few weeks you won’t even miss the old eating habits and find that your body does a lot better on good food. One day at a time, and if you fall … get right back to it !!! You never know who you’ll inspire 😊

I normally just lurk, but this one was really inspirational. I eat a lot of unhealthy CFA meals. I need to at least switch to the grilled nuggets to get away from the fried food and bread. I’m fortunate to have one within walking distance, which gets me some mileage. Really appreciate you putting out these vulnerable blogs. It makes a difference! Thanks so much, and best of luck on your renewed journey!

I can’t imagine what it would be like to hear other people’s non-stop opinions of what I eat, especially from someone that doesn’t know me and is only seeing a small snapshot of my day, it has to be really hard. Life is sometimes complicated and not everyone is perfect, sometimes we are all just trying to keep our head above water. As someone with a former eating disorder, anyone that even attempts to eat healthy when they can gets a thumbs up from me. I enjoy your food videos, they show your happy spirit.

Those calories were already counted, in the app. The thing is, you can lose a lot of weight quickly, but if you don’t eat enough, your body will go in starvation mode, and the weight loss will stop. I lost 260 pounds, and I’ve been at this for most of my life, and always will.

You’re doing the right thing. It’s all about picking better choices when you eat. Calories are the most important but also how much food you are getting for those calories. For instance, what would be more filling, eating a candy bar or 3 bananas? Both would be the same calories.

I followed a similar path. I didn't want to say what I was on was a diet, as using that word to me, starts setting up many stereotypes of what you should be doing vs. what you should not. What I did was I didn't stop eating the things I liked, I just ate less of them. I started intermittent fasting, cut to 1,700 calories a day, skipping breakfast and drinking coffee. If I wanted pizza, I had pizza. If I wanted a piece of chocolate, I ate a piece of chocolate. I walked roughly 4-5 miles a day, and I dropped roughly 50 lbs in about six months. Every now and then I'd have a bad day of food. It's going to happen be it stress, or just the "pull" to enjoy something. I treated every day like it's own individual thing, so if a bad day happened here and there, I wouldn't stress over it.

Just a piece of advise: Eat in moderation. Just because you’re choosing “healthy” options doesn’t mean you have to get everything on the menu. Just the sandwich would be enough, not adding the extra nuggets. And the side salad. If you must have fruit, just one fruit cup. Not two fruit cups AND and fruit parfait. That’s a tremendous amount of sugar. Which turns to fat. Natural sugar is still sugar. Also, eat every few hours. That way you’re not so hungry and eating a ton of food in one sitting. Have nuts every few hours. Healthy fats. This meal is not healthy Adam. Also that chicken they use is not real chicken so the preservatives can cause bad fat. GMOs. No gluten, no diary, no sugar and low sodium. You’ll loose it the right way. And you don’t have to eat everything you bought. Hundreds of calories happen when eating because you don’t want to waste.

I also walk an average of 2 miles a day. I lost over 50 pounds since February.

I think some people are missing the point of the video. Adam was showing us, that there are healthier choices, at a Fast food place. He’s counting calories, and this vlog is a good example, of choosing food, with less calories. He’s not eating this every single day. He’s trying to live healthier, and making it more doable, so he can sustain this new healthier lifestyle. Adam travels a lot, too, so cooking isn’t often an option. I think he has a great attitude, and he’s hoping to inspire others, and he is. I’m ready to get back on track, myself. As someone who has lost 260 pounds, and has put some back on, this is a wonderful reminder, that I can do it again :)

Long time viewers here (in our 50's)...crossing our fingers this will be the permanent "lifestyle change". We actually went through our own lifestyle change about 9 months ago. My GF was diagnosed with high blood pressure and major inflammation due to our heavy heavy carb diet...pasta, pizza, rice, bread, etc. We both went on disciplined regiment and the results have been amazing. I've lost 30+ pounds and back to my trim High School weight, while my GF has lost 50 lbs so far. She's still on the disciplined change as she has more to go until she's satisfied. I'm actually back to eating sandwiches on a regular basis and still love my ice cream. But the key has been...no more pasta or cured meats. We seriously cut down on our salt intake as well. Thing is...no exercise regiment. Just diet change. Plus, my energy level is much higher now...no more feeling exhausted at the end of the day. Ok Adam...we're rooting for ya!

I think with Lose It if you pay a fee, you can scan barcodes of packaged food and also look up by restaurant/menu item and log it directly. Doing one meal a day can be hard. You may do better with a 16:8 to start if you are used to eating three meals a day. Then you aren't too tempted to eat a lot at one setting. You can do it!! I still need to lose but I used to eat breakfast and a mid-morning snack and have now switched to only eating between 12 and 8. Never thought I could do that!

It’s not easy picking out the healthier meals, though since the first of this year I have changed my diet. Since then, I’ve only had one breaded item to eat. I try to limit my bread (not easy, but I am at least more aware of when I do eat bread, and try not to go overboard with bread. I also try not to eat a huge meal at night, as it is too late in the day to work off the excess food that I’ve eaten. Fruit has been my go to dessert. I liked fruit prior to this year, but now I’m crazy over having fruit at my meals. Salads, although not a stranger to me, have become the meal of choice when I feel I may have overdone the more fattening foods. I pretty much cut dressing out, and replaced it with olive oil, or cottage cheese. I have made this a journey/adventure instead of something I HAVE to do. So far it’s been interesting and rewarding, as my weight has gone down, and I feel healthier than ever! Keep up the good work!

I like how you reviewed what you ate and could eliminate the next time. I never eat both sides of a sandwich. I even ask for lettuce to eat the sandwich between instead of bread. I know you didn't ask for advice but I wanted to share my experience. I am an overweight woman who has tried to lose weight many times. I would start out successful, but then I would restrict my calories too much and end up stuffing my face and going back to overeating because I was so hungry. Also, if you calorie restrict too much, you may not have the energy you need for exercise. I would try coming close to your calories for the day, but not adding back in the exercise calories. So if your suggested calories is 2000, and you burn 300 on the treadmill, I would eat around 1800-2000. I wish you the best of luck. You can do it! And you are inspiring myself and many others to try to make changes for the better.

Adam I’m very proud of you for making the right food choices at Chick-Fil-A and it was pretty dang cool to see you liking what you got so this is a start for better things to come for you and I was thinking maybe that is if you up to it is do a food series like the one you did out here in SoCal but this time go to your favorite places and eat only healthy food items so you can show what healthy foods these places carry and you could still be on your weight loss journey so again you did good today keep up the good work now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Adam and I’ll see you on the next awesome Adam the daily woo adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️

I love Celebration. We were at the Grand Floridian for a week in January but ate out three times at Celebration. Wish I could live there but a bit too pricey for us now since retired.

My go-to CFA weight loss lunch is the avocado ranch side salad, grilled chicken nuggets, side of cheese (for dipping the chicken), large unsweetened tea with lemons. Love the buns, but the carbs kill weight loss. My cousin simply cut soft drinks and bread, lost a ton of weight as they are both heavy carbs.

Good morning Adam. I decided to get a little more serious about my calorie counting after your vlog yesterday. This morning I had eggs and tea. In the past I remember hearing eating high protein helps stave off hunger for the day. Looks like it's a beautiful day today in FL. I'm flying down from Ohio for a relaxing week at Disney on mothers day :)

This is good to show people you can do fast food without blowing up your day. Especially being on the road so much, it’s good to be familiar with the fast food go to healthier items. After a while you won’t even really crave the breaded and fried stuff.

Hey Adam. Lots of comments on here and not sure if you’ll see this. Also not sure if anyone else suggested this but may I suggest you try chipotle when eating out? You can create some pretty healthy bowl options for around 10 bucks and guaranteed you’ll be full. Thanks.

I don’t eat there but if I had to guess I’d say the almonds are to put on the kale. Or maybe the parfait. Or both since there were two bags.

Glad your on the right track to keeping an eye on your weight and exercise. Just stating that it isn't a good idea though to eat all your calories in one sitting and being that it is later in the day when you are eating so many calories isn't good either. The weight should come off slowly. Your headed in the right direction. Take care.

Protein ( meat), veggies, fruit, brown rice, quinoa are good. Carbs are delicious but not good if your trying to diet. Low-fat yogurt is ok. You can get low carb tortillas if you miss bread. Small meals throughout the day is better, it boosts metabolism. Just an idea from my previous healthy experiences.
