The filling of a croquet is not mashed potato, it is a ragout. Originally made with beef, but also available with shrimp or other flavors.
@FRANCISCARUSOworld3 жыл бұрын
Oh really? The lady who served me told me it was a mix of mashed potatoes stew with the filling 😅
@s.b.9073 жыл бұрын
@@FRANCISCARUSOworld she probably did not know how to explain the filling in English. But in this kind of croquettes there is no potato. My father used to make them once a year. Even more delicious then the ones from the snackbar. It is a ragout made from the stock that is made from the beef that goes into the croquettes also.

@@FRANCISCARUSOworld the original kroket is made out of cow meat not mash potato's its going bad these days and all krokets gets worse every year losing it fame because of the cheapness lately buy in cheap sell high wich is stupid

thank you for not getting the poffertjes with Nutella or other crap I see in a lot of videos like this. I was worried about that from the start of this video.
@FRANCISCARUSOworld3 жыл бұрын
hahah, I totally get what you mean! I actually don't like the taste of Nutella at all... 😅
@boxie0013 жыл бұрын
@@FRANCISCARUSOworld I love Nutella myself. (it must be the child labour that makes it tasty) but poffertjes just need some butter and sugar to make it perfect.

Hey, guys is albert cyup is tourist market or actually locals also shop there (means that product are there cheap or price are inflated for toursist).
@boxie0013 жыл бұрын
@@NitinGupta-qm6hj I have not been there for over 20 years but locals shop there. maybe in the summer it is a bit more touristy these days but the market is there all year that should be a good indication it is not focused on tourists.

The filling in the Kroket is not mash potatoes, it's actually a Roux, more specifically a Salpicon, it's a Roux that's more dense.

This is not the largest market of the Netherlands, the largest market is the market in Den-Haag. But it isn't held in a regular street, (it isn't a "street market", its held on a specifically created square, designed specifically for a market. Its also not a market with where you can buy all kinds of delicacies, its a "normal" market. You can buy all kinds of things, electronics, clothing, shoe's but also foodstuff, its fresh fish stalls are the best and largest fish market in the Netherlands, with all kinds of fish, shellfish, crabs eels and many other fish. All the restaurants in den-Haag and surrounding towns probably buy their fish here. It a market in a large multicultural part of town, and you can tell by what is being sold here. I suggest you should visit.

There are many different kroketten, but one thing that doesn't change is that you'll definitely burn your tongue eating it. The inside is piping hot.
