Its crazy because often people will judge each other and think they would have nothing in common, like the lady mentioned who was paired with Lorraine, but infact we often have quite alot in common, for example myself I'm a white, welsh muslim who covers completely, many people would see me and think I'm an alien lol and not see that theres an actual person behind the niqaab who has many interests, loves shopping, reading, watching dramas etc, someone who runs their own business, a mother, someone who has good and bad days, laughs and cries etc etc, all too often we can all fall into judging another person by their outer appearance sometimes we just need to open up and put the fear and assumptions aside :)

But u portraying urself as a Muslim woman that does so many things that's fine but people like me will know what u stand for and what u dont. This is what she's talking about. She had an intimate conversation with such a diverse person who comes from a very different life and a very different world, but they both were able to connect by destroying the ego to judge each other and seek understanding instead. They both found out from the very bottom of their hearts lay little girls that need to be accepted and loved. Loraine made religion a way of life, to have the weight of her life be held by her God instead. If Ava chose to do so much work on her face which is personally against the innate quality in us to love and hold sacred our natural beauty, I don't think that is something to judge but something to analyse, and moreover empathize. She is holding trauma, but if out of that trauma, she pleads for love and acceptance, then why don't we love her to enable her healing? You don't want her to change her appearance any longer, do you?

As a muslim AND moroccan woman who is "representing" the "muslim vilain "depicted by the media, with the caricaturalization of what a muslim is (based on race and origins), I strongly feel like this nice hijabi lady isn't however enduring the same stereotypes (because of her whiteness, and the factor of "choice") as us, "arabs" being the number one target on islamophobia (with the confusion between race and religion). Because of her being out of this racial spectrum, I don't think that we'll be able to uncover truthfully the bias that lies in the other one's mentality, hope that helps (BTW I am french... France being the most islamophobic country in the world, sadly...).

I don't think that the guy who spoke against marijuana got the distinction between temporarily using marijuana, either as a leisure time activity or in order to help cope with the trauma caused by any situation, and habitually abusing it in order to completely avoid facing the trauma caused by any situation. Not everyone who smokes marijuana has suffered any significant enough trauma to cause them to have an addictive personality and ever tries - let alone becomes addicted - to any sort of illict drug. The actual number of those for whom smoking marijuana led to their experimenting with other drugs and then becoming addicted to drugs, as compared with the number of those for whom smoking marijuana did not lead to that occurrence, is incalculable, and so it can only be guessed as to what are those numbers. Similarly, not everyone who drinks alcohol becomes an alcoholic, or becomes any sort of drug-addict. Likewise, not everyone who uses prescribed pain medications does become addicted to those, nor does everyone who uses those not become addicted to those, or to some sort of non-prescription or illict drug. Besides, there are all sorts of unhealthy addictions that anyone might have, so - even if marijuana were addictive - smoking marijuana might actually be a relatively much healthier choice (especially if it does have any health benefits) that various people might make, instead of making any of the more unhealthy choices.

@@WeirdSalad101 I hated school and was bullied ALL the time... BUT I turned out ok... and I know that doesn't happen for everyone...but part of the point I was trying to make is maybe if we started at a younger age teaching the kids to work on not being so cruel and coexisting...it might make it easier as they get older to get through the tuff times

@@vickyabramowitz2885 I think that if the children that are home schooled had more social events and plans on being around more kids... they can also learn this... and if they understand the part of authority figures earlier... that can have somewhat the same effect if we are telling them the reason for what is happening 🤩
