Harmeet Grewal If you watch the video very carefully, you will see a sign in English that indicates an item is Gluten free. I would check their facebook though as their menu probably changes seasonally and with customer demand. Incidentally, unless you have an actual gluten intolerance such as with Celiac Disease it is generally better NOT to avoid it specifically. I'm NOT talking about this bakery, but for products in general, avoiding gluten often leads to higher calorie content or the inclusion of another troublesome component to replace it.

You can make vegan butter, it just has added emulsifiers to bind it. There's a site called vegan baking with a really good recipe :)

There's so-called "temple food" in South Korea, which is vegan. And many traditional Korean foods are vegan anyway, though not intentionally.

I use ripe mashed bananas or applesauce when baking--or ground flax seed with water works great in stuff like homemade breads c:

Stephanie Blake If you cook the flax seeds and use the remaining slimey goop, you can whisk that and it'll have the same consistency as fluffy egg-white. Then there's products like the vegg which is basically just vegan egg yolk, haven't tried it yet though.

On that same line of thought, if you're in the US you may be familiar with a show called "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" (if you're not it's basically all food porn of local mom and pop diners) and it's always on at like 11 at night when it's too late to eat and I always end up watching it and just drooling over all the delicious food. It's unjust that they have it on at that time of night.

i bake vegan desserts sometimes for my husband and i found it funny that martina said one of the items tasted like coconut cream pie. i use coconut oil as substitute for butter or oil in muffins, cookies and banana bread. you can taste hint of coconut and puts a slight twist to them. white distilled vinegar as substitute for eggs on food that has really wet batter like cake, bread and muffins...applesauce for cookies.
