Damn Glen. This video embodies so many of the reasons of why you’re such a phenomenal instructor pilot.

Hi there, here is Raphael from Brasil. I have commented on your video about DELTA NG but here can be faster. My answer is why on B2 analogic gauge the triangle is on plus 6 and on a digital gauge the triangle is on plus 1? What is the difference between them if bouth have the same engine.

Hi Raphael... let me answer that over on the Delta NG video....

While performing autorotation on As350, NR stays around 365-370 with speed 65 knots. Is it Ok?

When at hover, while landing and the rotor rpm reads 384? Is it within limits?

Are you asking about something outside the scope of this video or referring the landing portion of the video?

Glenn, what airspeed did you have when you chopped the throttle? And how much did rotor rpm drop below 360 rpm? I am gonna try it in the simulator in 2 weeks. That immediate nose over. Before I do it in the aircraft…

We came to a hover at 1000 feet above the ground. I believe the wind at altitude was about 10 knots. The rotor rpm goes down to about 350 and then quickly recovers.

Ok, tried it today. The RPM drop out of that high power scenario when the engine quit was astonishing high and fast. Pushing the stick forward itself had actually less negative consequences then I had thought. I did it out of 800ft AGL, zero wind and with tanks half full
