Taylor we need a cons video of the J100! All we are seeing is how amazing it is. So it’s hard to see its pitfalls unless this thing is perfect. The DJI T50 has been out for a while so we’ve seen it all. The good, the bad and the ugly. The basics of the T50 up until now is that it lacks on some of the hardware sides but the software makes up for it completely. Here’s what I want to know - How’s the software? I’m assuming you can’t utilize DJI Smart Farm so what’s the alternative like? How’s the product support, parts availability, etc? What if you have a smaller DJI drone to go map your field can the DJI and the eavision speak to one another seamlessly? I just started my new Aerial Custom Spraying Company - Alair Ag. I’m about ready to purchase a drone for this next season but I have so many questions. I’ve got a meeting set up with one of your local distributors in my area but now I feel confused on what’s the right choice. Mike from nuway ag did a great comparison video of DJI vs XAG we need to see something similar with these two. His video really showed that the software is ultimately number one and if a drone doesn’t have the software none of the hardware really matters. Like I love the concept of the LiDAR, repairable batteries, etc but if the software isn’t there then all of those points are mute. I’ve also heard that the batteries aren’t big enough to get a full tank sprayed at 2ga. Is that true, can we see that performed?

Seems the DJI does as well as the EA in hill mode which tells me the hardware is there. DJI may just need a firmware update to help flatland mode. However, the J100 looks good.

The DJI is definitely capable of terrain following very well--we have plenty of videos proving that! The J100 is simply easier to get those results with. On the EAV you don't have to experiment with different modes; it's going to terrain follow phenomenally well no matter what you throw at it. That simplicity maximizes efficiency, and that's what we like to see!

Tenho um T40 aqui no Brasil, e aqui fazemos algo que melhora muito o acompanhamento de terreno, primeiro você sobe uma colina bem ingrime, na hora de descer muda do modo planicie para montanha, chegando no final é só mudar para planície novamente, não sei porquê, mas da uma diferença enorme na precisão.

Acredito que o modo colina reduza a velocidade mas aumente a precisão, então o drone faz menos "quase paradas", fica com movimento mais suave e no final ganha agilidade. O legal do J100 é que ele voa macio e suave sem precisar mudar de modo :)

Obstacle avoidance? Maybe guy wires or power lines within a field. How about that island of trees that in every field here in the east?

The J100 has been amazing for obstacle avoidance, ESPECIALLY with trees even without leaves on them! We have a video coming out today to show it with a center pivot, just for starters with a whole lot more coming!

It's not flat ground. Put the T50 in hill mode and see how it performs vs the J100. Maybe it's really just operator error here with the wrong settings on the T50. Maybe the J100 is no different on hill vs. flat settings. Still waiting on the real-world overall comparisons with experienced operators of each brand on the same field (not dealers pushing sales) pulling out all their knowledge to get true acres/hr comparisons. The J100 looks promising, sure. Nothing against ASD, but I'd put more stock in operators with nothing in the game except maximizing efficiency.

One of the advantages of the EAVision system is that it is very reliable even with minimal input--it's truly an autonomous system. That was the purpose of this video, to see how both systems functioned in their normal flight modes. For the second field, the T50 was in hill mode and it did do better--but the J100 had no problems with either field regardless of what mode it was in. Our priority is absolutely giving operators the most efficient and reliable options possible, which is why we like systems in which you don't have to menu-dive to get good results!

What ULV are you aiming for? The DJI drones do have the ability to spray low volumes, all depends on what you are looking for and what other settings you have!

Why did you cut the end comparison videos so much!! Throws the whole video in the trash release the videos from the second you click start mission on both remotes to the very end when they complete the mission side-by-side videos. I want this J100 to be the best so bad but you loose all credibility when you cut the videos. Stop telling us what is in front of our eyes let us see it for ourselves otherwise it leads me to believe foul play or BS! Release the videos I know they are there!

@@bastifly6902 You should realize that BOTH are Chinese and BOTH would be affected by a ban....The ban is on Chinese drones in general, not just DJI.

The editor here: the end comparisons are cut as they are simply because there wasn't a ton of footage that matched up one-to-one in terms of camera angles to be helpful. Certainly not cherry-picked or trying to hide anything, that's just what I had to work with. We'll try to provide more comparisons in the future!

Your channel is now all about the J100. Are you being paid to say all of this? Are you afraid dji is getting banned so you're trying to push sales for the J100? Are you getting a bigger profit from their sales? You have flopped completely once you received the J100. I don't trust your channel or would recommend people buy from you.

I believe they are the #1 DJI distributors in the USA and that probably wont change anytime soon. As new technology becomes available, as a businessman, he must adapt bring the newest stuff available. Since the J100 is a new platform, he must give demos sell the new products just like he did the DJI….when DJI was the ONLY option available. Yes, his channel si currently flooded with the J100 stuff but doing videos like this gives everyone a direct comparison of how each will perform head to head. I dont think he’s abandoning DJI, just pushing the new products that’s out. Even if he gets out of the DJI market, DJI controls 90%+ of the Ag market, someone else will fill the role of top US distributor…gladly! …..but I doubt he’s going to do that.

You realizes he's showing off a new spray product that isn't well known in the States? There are literally only 2 well known spray drone companies in the US at a reasonable price (DJI and XAG.) There is Hylio, but that's just a rebranded shitty chinese drone. Taylor's channel for a long time had been heavily skewed towards DJI for a good reason. They're the best in the market. XAG is a solid 2nd, but there's more bugs and tiny little details that are needed for it to work properly. (For any XAG fan, turn off RTK or VRTK and then come back) As a fellow DJI lover, I do love seeing other products other than DJI. And overall the fact that this drone has lidar, is readily available, is affordable, and actually works better than the t50 in certain aspects is amazing and more than welcomed. I would have never thought of this drone as a contender before Agri Sprays introduction on it. But I'll see how well it does this year after I buy one. Wish it was an American made drone. Otherwise this drone would 100% over take the US market. And the videos that Taylor puts out are more than welcomed. I don't see him as a sell out and it's kinda his job on KZbin to bring us ( his viewers) new content. You can only make so many videos on DJI. I am so far a fan and can't wait to test it out.

I told a story to a tech guy at Agri spray that they truly are empowering rural America that i appreciate all they do as a company! I feel like finally there is real competition to DJI. Time will tell if the J100 is really good. We already know the DJI is pretty damn good. But DJI could literally get banned tomorrow and we would all be dead in the water. The ripple would be huge. The govt does not understand what they going to impact with that ban. And it is nice to see this is not just a clone of a T40/50. This is an improvement in almost every aspect. At least it seems to be. So I do not blame these guys for pushing this thing out. Why not?
