I bought the 3" version & they now offer them in pairs with a hardwired switch. I don't want the possibility of losing the remote or it's battery dying at the worst moment. So far I'm impressed with them. If they crap out after very little use I'll come up with a way to control them with a cable.
@TexasNova5 жыл бұрын
Renaissance Man - awesome man. The batteries will last for a good while imo. Just make sure you don’t over stress the motor. I believe this is where all the problems are. Should be 5 quick clicks of the remote from closed to open.

I had this is my car, one broke as I got home, replaced with a new one and the same thing happened. The gears inside are very very weak and the small gear and the 2nd always break as there is no switch that cuts the power once fully opened or closed. The pulsating switch does the job but if you hold it lets say to close it as you can hear it leaking (no they dont close very good there will be a 1mm gap from both sides from which you will hear it leaking) and keep on trying to close it will break in a matter of seconds especially if its hot as it is part of the exhaust. Thumbs down for this
@iSOBigD6 жыл бұрын
Can you confirm if you're able to weld them on with no leaks if the new pipe is the same diameter as the existing pipe? And I've seen videos where people did it without removing their existing exhaust pipes when welding it, would that not cause it to not be sealed properly?

Love your channel. Do they not make an option where it its just a flip of a switch? I much have a wired one rather than a key fob one. Also, are you worried about dead end part? I've heard it creates turbulence but I'm not sure if that really affects the performance or not.
@TexasNova5 жыл бұрын
Mike they do have them that are on/off but they’re like $400 from what I’ve seen. As for turbulence ummm dunno. I couldn’t see it imo. It’s just a straight 100% dump out. If it’s a daily driver I wouldn’t be worried much about it.

Can the positive wire be connected straight to battery? Or does it have to be to the fusebox or something?
@TexasNova6 жыл бұрын
Ossy yes it can be wired straight to the Battery. All you’d have to do is cut off the cigarette lighter plug-in and wire it in. I wouldn’t suggest it though. There is just something about leaving something that is connected to a constant “Hot” that worries me. What about your Cigarette Lighter?
@uhhhhNick6 жыл бұрын
You could probably splice it into the accessory on wire. So when you turn your key to the on position it powers it up.
@ossyali2076 жыл бұрын
Ah thanks for the replies guys... I understand what you mean, was abit worried which is why I asked. Was curious as my engine and battery are in the back and would have been simple to connect it straight to the battery instead of running a wire all the way to the front. Will wire a fuse in that case to make it easier. Thanks once again.
@corypierce2026 жыл бұрын
What breaks them is the fact that they don’t auto open or close when you hit the button. You over work them when they reach their full movement. Even the expensive American made ones suffer from this. There is a video by Granatelli Motorsports talking about this. You might keep in mind not to over do it at it’s full open/close position

Can you show how you got them to run off one 12v? Or how you hot wired it to fuse box ? They said it has to be ran off 12v or it will burn the motor
@TexasNova6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the Question Joe! I'll be using this here ----> www.ebay.com/itm/152354048006 This will tie both of them together as one. Since these were sold as 1 & not as Pairs. As for wiring as "Hot" i'll say doubtful. Ignition Hot is sufficient enough. But I will be doing a video for sure.
