Keep the motor in the car! I have an NA auto, I plan on swapping to a cd009 and using an is300 head for the variable valve timing, and coil on plug instead of the distributor. Twin turbo head gasket to lower compression and arp studs and stock bottom end. It’s awesome seeing the “slow” supras become fast 😂

Right now I am going big single na-t on my sc300. Go cop, ffim, you can run a haltech trigger wheel for cam/crank sensor. I havent seen a KZbin build a beautiful na-t. I know you can make them at least as nice as a gte. Love the supra content keep up the great work!

Holy, not bad on the guess I made on twitter! Solid power. And you should clean up that build. That 2JZGTE you got isn't going to go anywhere. It should still end up in the Supra though IMHO, and then transplant your clean GE into another build. The most fun I have had is in cars below 600whp. Going above that just becomes a completely different animal. It also depends on the car. I drove a CRX at 250 whp and that was just sketch.

i would believe that you're aware already but non-vvti ge and gte share the same stock internals. with a good tune, ecm, and fuel, you can push well beyond 500hp, i'd say the other only limitation is turbo effieciency. and maybe fuel pump, outside of the drivetrain of course and aside from the difference in c/r

Hey evan, what do you think of a V160 or v161 swap? and honestly, i agree with keeping the NA -T setup, the non-vvti pistons and rods are WAAAAAYYYYY better than he VVTI 2jz-GE pistons, so that's why nothing has blown, if anything the valves would probably go before any bottom end stuff

NAt makes more power on less boost cause of the high comp not the engine. My k24z7 made 403 at 10 pounds cause it's a high comp motor. Ur other jz will have a lower hp to boost level due to comp

my family has a 1000 whp supra and it does the qaurter mile in 7.1 sec. only problem is that we have to change the oil and cut the filter after every time we use it. and it hold 46 pound of boost on a stock crank

I just put a Asian AR5 transmission into my 1994 RHD Mk4 Supra, it’s an inexpensive trans swap that’s the reason why I went with it. Capable for 800whp has been swapped in LS engines . Could bang through the gears all day long😁 obviously a T56 is 10x better but I couldn’t afford it. This trans bolts up to a R154 bellhousing and uses a concentric slave cylinder, also uses a W58 clutch disc and pressure plate. I honestly couldn’t see any other transmission out there that is affordable and holds this much power.

Evan, the non-vvti GE block has the thicker GTE rods from the factory. You’re not blowing that bottom end up anytime soon assuming the tune is good and the bottom end is already healthy.
