I'm an automotive painter and trim black has always been one of my favorite secrets to get that perfect satin black look. Remember, it's all in the prep. Don't use too rough of sandpaper, you can actually get away with using a Grey 3m scuff pad like a Scotch Brite to scuff the surface. Also on the door panel, you masked the border properly, but don't forget to tape paper to the borders to avoid overspray on other parts. The dash looks great man

I have bad depression n honestly it causes me to be lazy. The top right clear plastic piece that you defogged has the check engine light, oil pressure light etc. Play around with the wiring loom going into and you might be able to get it to light up. They commonly die for some reason.

@ 13:30 the segment on the right has your oil lights and engine light. It's a common fault that these lights don't ever come on due to loose wiring but people don't realise and then sometimes won't recognise that their oil is low etc..... Mines quirky and I have to tap them when I turn the car on to get them to light up. :) Hopefully this helps and isn't too confusing to follow.

To avoid the lines in the future just use laquer thinner to take off the old paint.
